Winchburgh and District Children's Gala Day 2023

Residents of the Winchburgh community in the east of Scotland crowned a week of civic events on Saturday 24 June with their historic gala day involving around 240 local children, more than double the number involved in previous years.
The gala day in the village’s Craigton Park has been a feature of the community for over 85 years and has expanded recently to include many of the new residents moving to the village. The week-long series events in Winchburgh, 12 miles east of Edinburgh, began on Sunday 18 June and included bands, races, a talent show, and five-a-side competitions. The highlight of the week was the crowning of the 2023 Gala Queen Aimee on Saturday.
