Excellent job!! I learnt loads. Thank you. Could i ask question. Why did u measure out extra 0.5inch at waist and 2.5 in at hem when cutting fabric. ?? Was there no waist and hem seam allowance included on paper pattern?
Hi thank you for this tutorial. I Have two question. I hope you could help me. It's my seconde time sewing draping dress. I took a heavy fabric. More thank satin and was note realy proud the final result. The plits were note realy defined, not as I want. So how can I fixe this. Howard the distance betwen two edges of plits play ? Or the width of the plits before cutting. Thank you for your answer
Hello Fiona. I don’t really understand the options you gave however for a drape dress to come out beautiful, using a heavy fabric would not work. The outcome would not be good. Also you can drape flat on the table like I illustrated in this video using slash and spread or drape directly on the mannequin. I hope this helps
Hello. After draping, I stitched it down along the sides of the drape. I also used pins to hold the drape in place while sewing. Also, you would want to use a steam iron too.
Thanks sis. I've learnt alot and I pray tht your business grow frm strength to strength. Thanx for sharing. ❤❤❤

After draping, how do you get to sew the draped cloth without scattering what you have aligned on the dress form?
