I want to share that what took me some time to figure out. That you need to make certain the ballon tied area needs to be where you twist the balloon.

dollar store balloons are not great brands, I recommend Belbal, Tuftex, Sempertex and Qualatex.

you can't use it for a full garland, it is only for accents, like added extra to enhance a design. do you get?

it holds the shape, no need for tying.

I am using a qualatex balloon and it's still seems to tight to twist in half. It's only about 6 inches. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong😞helo😩😂
