Unfortunately the camera died and didn't catch my second drop once I got it up the first time. I managed to get it up the second time, but the mid was so slippy I couldn't get it back 20m to the hard ground on the corner. But the girls arrived and helped me push it
@@buckymoto1784 Your right ! It could have been a lot worse. Wasn't fun at that moment but I guess you will get a good laugh from it for decades to come. As for the drone, so much for the 'come home' feature.
Love this bike, not dropped it yet but its coming. Got the Italian front fork things and Ohlins rear, few mods from Gutsibits , went to the Pyrenees all off road with TKC Knobblies and smashed the side stand switch off , leathered it for hours and it did not miss a beat, someone showed me how to turn off the traction control fully, this was important as could not ride at all on the gravel as the abs thing kicked in, love to ride in Ireland , it looks absolutely stunning, and no traffic, the north west of England is grid locked, keep up the videos 👍👍👍
Sadly that was my second completely lost drone... I am about to drop another video with my NEW drone the Pro 4, Fingers crossed not having to use Litchi secondary app will mean I don't lose this one.. 🤣 Got a few Muddy lanes in this one too
Excellent video...sorry about the drone! . Despite that, the road/track along the coast was stunning....I've added it to my list of must ride places! Like you said, just great to be out on the bike. Cheers, Steve
I intend going back when it's drier. It might not have looked it but if you watch you can see the 1st slid was just the mud was like super slippery and sent me off my line I'd picked.. The mud made the lane feel like someone had sprayed it with silicone spray.
@@ManBikeSwag you've actually got me second guessing myself now. Lol.. I know I didn't have to order a separate bolt kit. I was either able to use the standard bolts or ermax came with new ones. I know it was only a 10min job to swap them over. And I sold my standard tinted screen to an American chap for £60 (as they don't get smoked screen as standard) .. Which meant my ermax cost me very little
I'll not deny it was a major struggle. But I learnt some lessons.. Which is why I do this stuff... Next time I'll have a strap with me that I can hook onto the rear and handlebars that goes over my shoulders. I can adjust it so I can get a better purchase on the bike to help lift. The issue was the cylinder was down in the wheel tracks of the lane, and the wheels sat high on the middle high of the lane. This made the bike almost impossible to. Lift. But as you saw once I pulled the rear wheel more over the wheel tracks that allowed the bike to lift a little which made it easier to get up..
None at all. The bike landed on soft. Mud. The video might now make it clear, but the cylinder is laying down in the wheel tracks and the wheels where up on the higher centre part which was why it made it so hard to get up. Along with the extra 18 kilo of a full tank of fuel.. I actually dropped it twice and had it up the second time when the girls appeared. They helped me push it 20m to harder ground on the bend.
I stupidly forgot to check it was full when I launched it (the smart batteries discharge themselves to protect them. I suspect it was only 60% when I launched). It was only up 10 mins when It started to try and return to Home Point. I think where I launched from was sheltered slightly and where the bike eventually fell over was more open and Windy. By the time you see me realise the drone was trying to return home (12%), it had already drifted within 20 yards of the sea edge. the battery was too weak to be able to bring it back in. So it continued to drift further out to sea... I still have my 7x batteries and the controller, so I only need a new drone on its own ( £200ish quid will get one on ebay) I still enjoyed myself all the same... Becasue the camera died you don't see me drop the bike a 2nd time. I was able to pick it up again, but it was bogged in a rut I couldn't get it out of, that's where the girls came in and "saved my bacon"
What a day out! These girls saved my bacon! Quality stuff, Top Man.

Oh man, what a day ...... Thanks for also sharing these terrible moments with us !
If I didn't laugh at myself, I'd just cry... And all said and done I didn't break any bones, and drones cam be replaced. 👍🏼

As for the drone, so much for the 'come home' feature.
Phew, what a runout.
That is a beautiful coastline it would make me smile too.
Great stuff Bucky Moto.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊

We're going on a 3000 mile trip in July through France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany Netherlands. Some amazing passes for us to see..
Beautiful places and nice roads, mate! Bike, drone and camera is just metal. Glad you enjoyed the day out anyway!
I intend going back in the summer. That lane isn't beating me 😂🏍️
I left the toileting incedent 💩 with out paper out of the video. 🤣🤣🤣💨💨🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Nothing worst than losing a drone. I have the skydio2 and ive lose it 3 times. Found each time luckily after hours of searching.

Hi With the Ermax screen do you have to also buy the "Fixbu fitting kit for screen ermax" ?
No, I used the standard bolts that bolted the standard screen
@buckymoto1784 great good to know.will order tomorrow

yes it could have been worse, you could've been hurt, i need to practice picking mine up for that reason.....glad your good to go man! sláinte

Yea it looked like a nasty situation alright, strap idea is sound. @@buckymoto1784
Fair play to you Darren, no permanent damage I hope?

sorry for the drone mate
I still have 8 batteries and the control. I only really need a drone body and I'm good to go again.. It definitely sucked at the time 😅
Nice location, Darren. Did the drone run out of battery and decide to land instead of return to home?
