As a K.Rool main myself, it's great to discover another one and see that we do similar things in certain situations. So I must have figured something out. KirbyKid is still way better than me though.
I’ve learned a lot watching KirbyKid and it’s crazy how well some of his strats work at the casual level. The only reason I have K Rool in elite is from watching KirbyKid. Players could really benefit from just watching these top players.
I was expecting Suarez to win after game 1. Kirby played so well. I imagine yoshi double jump armor is annoying to deal with especially since the Krool Nair edge guard he likes going for. Won’t be as effective
About the mash, it’s a 50/50. It’s not like Suarez wasn’t ready to mash, that was a decision he made. If you mash then you can get hit by upsmash, if you don’t then it’s f smash. Both will kill ofc, so it’s really just a guess
yo this female caster is sooo good she reminds me of Pansy from Valo. EDIT: oh it was vikky. I thought she moved on but glad she's casting some smash again!
6:10 why does KirbyKid run fwd and back after burrowing the Yoshi? That's how he lost his last match too. Why does he run instead of attacking the burrowed character?
@@fidel_soto yah, as a K Rool main, up tilt would have been the best option, even upsmash is viable. It may be mind games but quick damage is still the best option there. And yah I’ve seen Kirbykid do it before and I think it’s more of a bad habit rather than mind games.
you can steal the crown and the cannonball is slow as hell, its sad to see people complain about KirbyKid using them too much when it can be countered fairly easy
I mean yeah it makes for boring neutral, but considering it's a bottom 20 vs a top 25 character, it's actually really smart counterplay. Yoshi thrives on getting in on his opponents and getting tilts/aerials to start combos. Egg is rarely ever a combo starter bc of the high end lag, so poking from range, camping, or otherwise locking Yoshi into up-b is generally a good game plan if you have the tools to do so. It's lame, but KirbyKid actually played correctly lol.
It is offline my dude, if you are half decent you can parry and then close distance to punish. Plus k rool’s projectiles are bad slow, you can run up and use throw armor. #counterplay
@@feraligatrmaster9918 I tend to just throw around numbers I see across a number of top-players' tier lists. The general consensus seems to be he's top of high tier/bottom of top tier. Either way, he wins a lot of matchups but still has pretty good (albeit boring) counterplay.
@@Simbaninogaming How can you parry in the air? KirbyKid was using the projectiles to cover the air, not letting Yoshi jump on him. And this MU is evenish.
I like seeing KirbyDad showing support! We like good dads out here!
12:55 That was really nice and wholesome :) KirbyKid did incredibly well! Such an amazing player.
Well played by the Yoshi player.
I watched a ton of Kirbykid and I swear he almost always loses game one, then wins games 2 and 3.
His adaptation is just wild.

You’re garbage if you need to use kk to win 😭
@@raulcastanon182 your garbage if you need top tiers to win.

You know what is funny?
KirbyKid played total of FOUR (4) Yoshis in the tournament. So he basically had MU training before this set.
Reptilian bracket
My brother is a Yoshi main named Dynomyte, it’s really interesting to see other players play the same matchup.

Kirbydad and Vikki! What a great set!
It's been a while since I've seen kirbykid. Glad to see him offline tho
Great commentary, great plays!
Kirbykids adaptation was clean af

I honestly think Meme is the most aggressive Yoshi player I've ever seen where is he though?
I guess FATALITY is gonna face Kirbykid instead of Suarez now
no he faces master you fool 😒
F for kirbykid in that case
F for kirbykid in both cases tbh
Let’s go Kirby dad
Gooo KirbyKid!🙌

Love to hear Neighbor commentating
Neighbor commentary is too good.
very hype down throws lol
I love Suarez, but the dude just doesn't beat anyone.
Nice march
For some reason I hate this matchup as a Yoshi
How so? I dislike this MU as K Rool, but perhaps I don't have enough knowledge about Yoshi's weaknesses and win condition.
Yeah as Yoshi this match up feels bad, especially when krool just keeps spamming projectiles
KK letz goooo
2😂
Just spamming projectiles. So good lol

Any king krule player is trash 🤣
Well...he beat one of the best yoshi mains so there goes that theory
Won tournaments, you're just salty
@raulcastanon182 This guy's coping mechanism is pathetic.
