Based on this video, his capacity to generate abstract representations of objects in his mind is about equivalent to an average 4 year old. Somewhere in that general vicinity, anyway. It may sound like I'm exaggerating, but he failed to add buttons to his drawing of a Gamecube controller even while looking right at it, and somehow added a 3rd "leg" to the controller. He also failed to recall that Fox's shine is a hexagon, not a diamond. He just can't store the images in his head, it seems. But at the same time he's a total genius at seeing and understanding Melee and he has above average social skills (and has way above average social skills where the situation calls for being fun and energetic). Interesting cognitive profile. I'm not a psychologist, but I'm theorizing that this is related to his ability to improvise so well in game. Throughout his drawing attempts, he has a good grasp of when he is close and when he is way off the mark. He definitely has the ability to tell when something he sees is "right" or not. However, he has no firm conception of what anything "should" look like. I can see this being an asset to his hard read style of play. He stays totally present instead of getting distracted by expectations. He can react faster than anyone to novel opportunities, because all he sees is what is there. Just a crackpot theory. Could be total bullshit.
