The best times, the best death metal, the best and the beast albums: Consuming Impulse and Spiritual Healing!
I was at this show!! Those were the DAYS!!!! Will Always cherish the memories!!!
This was Carcass, Pestilence, and Death. Incredible show!!
Yes! I still have my ticket! May The Omni R.I.P. ⛧🤘
I was supposed to be there that night. Got two tickets for the show (One for me and a friend who was going to be driving). Night comes and I keep calling my friend to see what time he's going to be coming to get me. Long story short he never picks up and I'm left with two tickets and missing an incredible show. Saw Death and Carcass a number of times but I never caught Pestilence live. Great to see it up here though.
The MONSTERS of the Death Metal genre are on the same stage! The most remarkable event in the Death Metal scene !
0:18 Dehydrated
3:21 Echoes of Death
56:32 Pull The Plug
1:27:28 Leprosy
If you dig this tune check out the whole album "CONSUMING IMPULSE". Great dose of early death metal. Been a fan of this band since 1990.
loco no sabes el tiempo que ando buscando a pestilence de esta epoca en vivo y con un sonido aceptable!!! gracias de Argentina
I envy the guys on the crowd, Martin Van Drunen is a beast, that was the best Pestilence line up.
excelente muy buena epoca PESTILENCE lo maximo ,play in lima Peru 11 feb 2011,good show
Possibly the coolest thing ever on YT. Pestilence and Death in good quality
Good quality...
Are you serious? I Will not argue about the coolness of the video only what you call good quality.
I was there carcass opened, great show death played the omni in April that year too with James Murphy
Que cosa más sublime
The early Testimony version with van Drunen is quite the bonus in this video.
Yeah, that was awesome to see live. I still hear it in his voice every time I listen to that album.
@@fleshforsaken van Drunens voice is one of the best parts of Pestilence. So much agony!!
I remember this concert and Pestilence was the real pestilence!!!
gold time europe and US great death metal., Miss the time and days.
They are both damn good. i have a lot of respect for what chuck brought us.
My favorite Death Metal bands.
2 ov the greatest bands. Sorry never caught them live
I've had Consuming Impulse for years now...couldn't recognize the track. Echoes Of Death is one of my favorite songs ever!
Only thing that sounded right on was the guitars...
One of my all time favorite bands
2 of my favorite bands of Death Metal awesome video man
So fucking cool. Love it.
classic stuff
i was there too man ! ratt was the headliner 👍
Chuck Schuldiner fue un musico reaspero 🤯🤯🤯
SUPERB share there, much appreciated !!
Wasn't Carcass on this tour, too?? Bummer that they aren't in the footage. This is great though!! Nice upload. Consuming Impulse is a masterpiece.
gracias desde Chile! pestilence and Death rules! this age awesome!
@enfermal Your Very Welcome! Glad You Like The Sound Quality. Please SUBSCRIBE to this Channel.
AMAZING PERFORMANCE RULES !!!
I was at this show, Great times!!!!!
genial !!! man gran banda .. buen show se agradece mil!!!
Wow, highly entertaining. Pestilence at the height of their powers. According to my Wikipedia research, Van Drunen left for Asphyx in 1990. So within 2 months of this show, he was gone? Things must have been pretty bad between the band.
The Carcass set was insane
old schoold krajO!!!!!
I love Death but Geez Louise Pestilence really rocked this gig big time
genial!
I was at this show. Carcass came on right before Pestilence. Such a killer show. No video of the Carcass set? Disappointing.
You Right Adan , but the music is special too ;)
WISH I WOULDA BEEN THERE
Pestilence!!!
I remember that solid wood barricade.
noice!
Hey this was at the old Omni club in Oakland.
Great video! :D
Whooooaaa they played Testimony. Guess that song was written in D and existed before MVD left
F.. Yea . never saw them.. This band was unique for His voice. Then he when to axphex
Pestilence blows Death away. Hands down.
Rude Death Metal pull the plug
Clearly you were not there...carcass and pestilence both sounded pretty amateurish compared to death even with Death handicapped by the exit of James Murphy and making do with this guy.. and the show they played 6 months earlier with devastation crushed this show
Anyone know who Death's other guitarist is at this show? I remember being bummed at the time that it wasn't James Murphy, but watching this set again all these years later, that guy's actually pretty good!
Albert Gonzales, it was in the description, can't believe you caught this show was long before my time
@@Humant06 lol I can't believe I didn't see his name right there. This show was one of the best I've ever been to. The next time Death came to the Omni (again with Pestilence), my band opened for them.
@@fleshforsaken oh nice
I caught both omni shows on this tour Death came through about 6 months earlier with James Murphy and Devastation opened, Death played a much better set that first time through not that this wasn't a good show but I remember bills left bass drum was lower in the mix than his right and Albert just wasn't in the same league as James Murphy and had only been in the band for a moment. Shortly after this bill and Terry went to Europe without Chuck and Chuck started hiring different bands for every album
this video is so very true death lml
I almost cried when this show cancelled last min in Gallup, NM Oct 90. Me and friends drove the almost 200 mi from Albuquerque to find out it wasn't gonna happen an hour before it was supposed to. Spiritual healing and consuming impulse are still two of my top five dm albums ever. Can't remember who the 3 Rd band was gonna be? Cancer or gorguts?
👊👊
Sadly was the last Van Drunken tour.
Why did he leave?
@@rollforeverderbs he was against the new direction Patrick Mameli has taken.
Chuck thanks Autopsy near the end of the video. Did they open this show?
34:00
\m/
and did I just hear someone say "THIS SUCKS" at 1:34:44 ????
Van Drunnen at vocals?
One of the last his concert in Pestilence
+zielskotorowe I was at the their next show at The Granada Theater in Ontario, Ca and Pestilence cancelled and Hexx opened for Death instead. Death still kick major ass but I was really looking forward to seeing Pestilence though.
Does anyone know why he left?
Dehydrated
What is the first Pestilence song bro??
colorblindvids Dehydrated
what's the first song?
Dehydrated
dehydrated
no just no.
Bill Andrews is really bad
How? I think he's pretty solid
You talking about the same Bill Andrews who drummed open casket?
Jeez, my brain. Carcass on necroticism!!!! Wtf??!
