- The only hill and water fort in Rajasthan is Gagron Fort. The calm waters of Ahu and Kali Sindh round the fort on three sides. Its defences were previously completed by a deep moat on the other side.The Khinchi monarchs' extraordinary bravery and the Royal Rajput women's ultimate sacrifice of their life through the practise of "Jauhar," in which the women compromised themselves rather than face capture, have bestowed blessings onto the region of Gagron. This is renowned for its terrifying tales as well. This location is supposed to be haunted by the ghost of Raja Achal Das Khinchi. This place is filled with horror legends, mysticism, the renunciation and sacrifice of courageous Rajputs, johar, and Rajputana bravery.
