Remember Robbie, The "Boss" give you permission to get a bigger Cat! hoping to get our channel this big one day!
He’s a kid that needs bigger toys. That is what is so awesome about Robby.
A bigger cat,, yes a Puma..lol
It's on film.
Those pull point 'D-rings' out on the corners of the frame look 'SKETCHY' Rob...I hope you get under there and put some gussets in or your going to pull that body & frame out of square.
Then your going to have a broken Kitty! 😎👍710
That was nice of you to spray Owens blazer. It looks good.
Whiskers needs some love!! Definitely needs some paint so it looks like Robbie Layton owns it.
I can't wait for the off-season to see the Snow Cat rebuilt and painted. Gonna look so sick!
Edit* would be a great time to do some upgrades like adding a better windshield wipers with a strong wiper motor, some LED exterior lights all around, a newer fuel injected motor. Some creature comfort stuff like padded seats in the back, interior lighting etc.
Also, defroster,s and heater
I like how you use common sense in approaching things you do not know how to repair, and how you take the time to learn when you fix something for the first time you repair it.
Earl Scheib job: any car, any color, $29.95! Well, at least back in the day (1960s).
I would love to see a full build on whiskers, and I think a lot of other people would too. Maybe put in a new engine and drive train, new lighting, and just fix everything else up. Obviously it's a work vehicle so keep focus on that aspect. Maybe add some tool storage and other utilities that you would need on recoveries. I'm sure it would get you a ton of views to help with the cost.
Hopefully keep the original drivetrain, I'm a fan of the 300 I6. You can work them to death and with basic maintenance they'll easily outlast you and I lol
@@josephina24 , id like to see a newer 300, with FI
I'm sure once summer rolls around Whiskers will be the 'Cat it was always destined to be. 😸
You can't beat the torque of a Ford 300 inline six cylinder, though (which I think would be more important for the Snow Cat). Maybe keep the inline 6 & consider an aftermarket intake with a Holley Sniper EFI upgrade for reliability?
In 1939 Los Angeles my father got a job working at the original Earl Scheib Paint & Autobody. Learning to do upholstery there you got a job working at Douglas aircraft working on dc-3s before the war upholstering the seats with leather.
Robby this was a fun video getting progress on the snow cat and the jeep you guys are building. I always look forward to your videos.
I give the lovely boss credit she definitely isn't afraid to put the work in and get her hands dirty. I think it is a great thing to have her more involved than just holding the camera. I always enjoy seeing her beautiful smile.
That snowcat was popular in Minnesota and Wisconsin back in the day. Could contact the junkyards to find out who deals with old snowcats. Seen many on the trails in the 60s and 70s in northern Minnesota. Bud Dixon has some videos on restoration of a couple of them. Knows who to go to to find parts for some of the hard too find stuff. Love his track build videos 👍
I think you should install some idler support wheels on your snow-tracks. Enough on the left and right edges to support the track when going over ruts.
Glad that you are getting the Kitty that so it will go properly and not lose a track. Owen's pick up truck looks so much better it's beautiful, thank you for sharing
Are all the extra D rings on the kitty to help out next time Heavy D has to rescue you lol
Jachucka chucka
Jajajajajajajaja
Well done guys....glad you show the repairs so peeps understand what it takes to run a company.....thanks for sharing this with us @
Owen didn't seem very.. surprised/happy.. maybe he thought it would be Monster green. 😂
Robby, there’s some liquid you can buy at the hardware store called Ospho, it neutralizes the rust and has a white powder residue that you wipe off! If provides a primer type of coverage that you can paint over it and be finished brother! I’ve used it and it worked great!
All right Robby a Silver ticket , you will be in such awesome company. Good to see projects in progress .My Grandfather used Coke to loosen bolts from time to time
Great video guy's, kind of all over the place but entertaining. Your daughter was getting some good shots. Seems as though she knows how to get it done. Future 🌟!
If that really was her on the camera, she's got the instincts already to be an excellent cinematographer!
I am 74 years old in South Africa. I sooo wish I could help you without being in the way. I love watching you build or repair vehicles. You dont take chances and you get it right the first time......and you are a good man. Thank you sir.
Excited to see you get the silver ticket to be a judge. Only wish we could be there for the big event. Have fun. BTW, we enjoy seeing you in the paint booth occasionally. Blow, tack, and static!
What a great transformation for the Blazer! Budget or not I would bet Owen is a little more careful with it.
Stay safe healthy and happy 👍
From snow cat track to paint job with a frame build thrown in.. what a great video!
Would really enjoy seeing that old snow cat taken apart, do the body work and a snazzy new paint job. REFRESH THE WHISKERS!!! :)
Oh, and a winch, gotta' have a winch! :)
put a defroster and better Windshield Wipers. maybe a couple infrared heaters for front and back. you all are awesome!
The two videos featuring both you, your crew, and HeavyDSparks and his crew turned out to be my all-time favorite RUclips videos ever. You provided comedy, frustration, failure, and success, all the while never flinching or showing signs of quitting. These two videos were great entertainment.
Hey Robbie. Check your tire pressure that also plays a factor into your track tension
Hey Robbie Layton! Liking the channels content and videos guys, the Boss! It would be nice to have a lite plow on front of Whiskers for open a pathway for your recovery's to facilitate towing and pulling just a thought then you wouldn't have to worry about ruts from other equipment? Great project any way you look at it's a Classic!🤔😉👍📹✔️💯👋👋👋👋
Hey Big Dinner and crew! You always do a great job painting especially on Owens blazer! Looks great Robby 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Excited for you to be a Judge. Keep making these videos!
I can't wait to see a facelift for the kitty, some bodywork, and a new paint job.
I loved the “‘B’ roll” exchange with Dinner!
That 2 second spot made the whole video for me.
The silver blazer looks great because YOU painted it.
The videos just fly by,one of my favorite channels 👌
Cute family buddy and man yall have a huge shop as well👊
Owens channel is pretty good he could definitely help with your builds. Talented kid.
I keep wondering why Big Dinner isn't in more videos lately. Have his skills improved to the point he's more valuable working on other projects?
Vinegar cleans rust away. I was gifted a "new" old Facom 10 inch shifting wrench, to use your American lingo, it was just rusty having lain outside in the back of a truck but covered with a cloth or something any how put it in a bowl covered it with vinegar , next morning rinsed it , job done, a spray all over with some light oil just like new. Great post as usual , keep em coming.
You should've done a skit presenting Owen an invoice with your inflated labour charges and got his reaction. 🤣 Lol good of you to help him out with your busy schedule
Earl Scheib was a paint shop in the 60s(?) That offered a $40 paint job. The joke was if you took your car there at 4pm, that's when they changed colors and you could get a two tone!
What's up brother's and sister hope yall have a wonderful day sending some California love👊🙏😎
LOVE IT! Missed watching you paint! As a body man myself its awesome to watch other people and their ways. Someday I would love to have a nice booth and a stat gun for sure! but for now wet sand wet sand and wet sand... then buff for days....! 🤣🤣😂
It’s a pleasure to watch Robbie lay down a paint job ❤😊
Casey, Ben and you in one place!?? Oh my…. This is gonna be great!!
I love the new look on Owens blazer. I’m a huge sucker for silver.
Over by the ratchet straps at tractor supply they have weld on D rings FYI
Robby you should try a hagglunds bandvagn from sweden i know you would love it 👍
Hahaha Earl Scribe he was a big thing when I was younger. I remember my friend taking his car to him for a paint job. And when he got it back we noticed that he had sprayed right over the bugs on the front of the hood. And it didn’t take long before it started to peel off the sides. Thanks for that memory.
Ive been using HAMMERITE over 35 yrs plus as a welder , fabricator , Hammerite has properties that makes it blend with rust , very strong metal paint without primer. Comes all colors ,
Nice looking silver on owens rig. Reminds me of the 2005-2009 Subaru legacy silver
I did track repair for a ski resort that used LMC cats… I spent 3 summers rebuilding track growsers…… a fella got tired of it… your lucky all the blots come apart…. Try touching every bolt on the track! Keep it up, gonna come see you soon!!
Torching. ….. edit
Adley has a career in cinematography
Projects galore ! Thanks for sharing !
Nice painting trigger man
That is definitely better than Earl Shives job. They wouldn't even mask anyting everything would have paint on it! Damn you can paint. Turned out good enough!
Congrats on the pink ticket!! 🤘 Haha I had to back up Hillbilly! 💪
That's the only kind of paint I ever used. (the polyurethane you sprayed on Owen's Blazer) It was the standard at the time. You can also add gloss hardener to it before spraying. Clear coat isn't needed. Easy to use, quite durable. I would likely still use it.
well done on upgrading your eye safety game. Be safe!
LMAO Coke wire wheel.... Alway's the best good humor!!
I thoroughly enjoy watching you paint. Looks great!
Owen's jeep looks good in silver
Ah, breaking track, replacing track, replacing track shoes, pulling off and replacing roadwheels.
I don't miss those days at all.
We like the color. Rigs gonna look great.
Blazer looks pretty sweet
Hillbilly is a good hand! Keep up good work!
Sometimes looking good is better than looking perfect. Excellent paint
-- For a spring summer fall series I'd love to see total rebuilds of your snowcat and Matts. Make for a good project series.
Dinner is looking awesome.
Im seriously learning alot ..thanks for the uploads
Robby y'all did a Awesome job.
Wish I could come out there next month to meet y'all it would be Awesome meet y'all
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab on. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless
There is just something fascinating about watching you spray paint stuff.
How about a roof rack and ladder? Maybe plumb in some defroster vents, add rescue lights, and emergency provisions. Just trying to help.
Should have double winches a eye pads welded all around for snatch points! Maybe a ladder on the back and a storage rack on the top!
Totally enjoy your channel!!
You need to have a snow cat runoff with Matt.
I think whiskers needs an LS swap! LOL!!!
That blazer color is awsome
I love watching Robbie paint man's an artist.
good morning Robbie and fam! Look foward to all your video's
Looks Awesome
You can tell the boss has been working out hard! Great job!
awesome videos keep them up
I love the Earl Shibe reference. A friend of mine and I were just talking about him the other day. Keep up the great work!
I came to you guys from the Heavy D video. Glad to be here because your videos (at least the ones I've seen) are very entertaining.
Excited for Robby's Jeep build. Owens paint job came out great!
Your D rings are actually called a clevis !
The snow cat would look good painted on RL paint colors...blue- black- silver.. maybe side windows added. 🪟 paint I side also. BAAAAA BAAAAAAD BOOOOONE!
Looks Great!!
Good job Adley!
I think a turret is a awesome idea for whiskers
Demri is Just Amazing..................
The more toys the more work. A turret on the snow cat? Great video platform.
I just started watching your channel. WHY DID I WAIT SOOO LONG!!!
I think the Blazer turned out great for what it is! 😎
That paint job is so good. I wish I have the same spray painting skill.
Bargain labor rate !!! I’ve seen his blazer on his channel & the spray job looks great so does the bodywork he did . I would be happy rolling in it .
Dinner looks like he has lost some weight already! Good job. Cider vinegar will dissolve rust.
Layton crew quickly becoming most entertaining RUclips videos
