That's the reason why every begginer/intermediate guitar player complains that whatever they play, doesn't sound like music. I'm glad it wasn't a clickbait title, because, YES, it's the most important guitar soloing lesson. Thank you, Corey. You're the best.
As I’ve said before, Corey possesses ALL of the elements that make an excellent instructor.. he tells you what he’s going to share/teach, he explains it, he demonstrates it (several different ways/times), and follows it all up with practical application. He provides the building blocks, without overwhelming, so it can simmer and sink in. Nice Job, Mr. Congilio! 👍🎸✌️😎
WOW! Thanks Corey. Great lesson. No one has ever explained something so simple that will launch a thousand guitar players playing today into the stratosphere. Absolutely terrific! Thank you
Am i back in 1973, Christian jr high (middle school) band hall ? Practicing on the snare exactly as your doing now. Thanks for the flash back. God bless all.
Gary Moore may have melted faces with his machine-gun style runs, but he knew when and how to apply measured melodic passages that really grabbed your ear. Corey, you've just deconstructed the style of my favorite blues and rock players!
One time I went to Orlando studios and I got on the back to the Future ride best ride I've ever been on in my life. It was so good in fact I went back for a second time. Only this time I had to sit in the front of the ride. As the ride progresses I accidentally look out the side of the cart and I noticed the other cars all around me. I sat back in my seat and I lost all interest in the ride because I learned how the ride works
i love this mentality. It’s completely changed how I try to solo. Everything I do has become much more intentional and inspires me to try new things. thank you!
This is awesome! I’m a guitar instructor. I use your videos all the time! I share them with my students! You are right no one really has done this with solos. Rhythm really makes solos better let’s them breath.
Great lesson Corey, something that should be so obvious to us, but you are correct, it is something that does not seem to show up in lessons. Very important, thank you.
Corey has put it out of the park - again!! Your videos are targeted to guitar subjects, problems and needs exactly "where I am." Thanks doesn't say enough, but I'm sayin' it any way. Corey, you're the best.
nice. i'm 'self-taught'.. i never learned anyone's solos. i learned melodies. thus i don't know any licks. it's been working for me for 45 years. i love this concept.
Corey, first off- yes this might be the best info on soloing. I do have a tendency to want to fill in all the empty space with notes. Need to find the right balance by using some of this thinking! Also- you have a beautiful way of playing right behind the beat. It's so perfectly laid back in the song. Can you do a video on that concept. I'd love to learn that approach and ideas on how to get that feel. Thanks!!!!
Thank you! I have been doing exactly that. I got the idea from watch one of older lessons. Thank you again! I appreciate your lessons each week. See you in the next lesson.
This is really good Corey!! An approach I hadn't thought of but once I started to watch this it just made so much sense. Thanks for all your teachings and that Novo is one of the coolest in your collection.
This has got to be the single most eye opening, revealing and enlightening lesson out of the countless ones I’ve watched on RUclips! Thank you, Master!
Great lesson as usual Corey...it's so easy to get caught up with licks and speed when what you should be focusing on is getting those basic rhythms locked in. Thanks!
Perfect timing man… this is exactly what I’ve been working on in my music studio (aka garage…lol) for the last few days. Thanks for the instructions brother!
Get the Track here! coreycongilio.ac-page.com/soloingwithoutlicks
Then link down not work. No addblock and I tried with several browsers.
Great lesson. Same issue though, can’t download the track.
the link on the website does not seem to be working :)

Corey has the best sound ever!
Great lesson Corey, something that should be so obvious to us, but you are correct, it is something that does not seem to show up in lessons. Very important, thank you.
Thank you so much Corey ! You are so right no one teaches like this. Please please more!
Thanks, William!
Such a great lesson - ultimately a lesson in intention, which is always going to make things sound more musical.

Terrific lesson, Cory, I need to count virtually everything just like you were doing there, really big medicine. Love the Novo, totally boss guitar
