Thank you Chef Nate. I have cooked my brats in sauerkraut all my life as my mother did. The only way I knew how, I love the new recipe and I'm going to try it immediately. Thank you again, always a professional.
Love this take on beer brats. Awesome creation. And I am loving how the ol’ tomfoolery is sneaking its way back in! It’s just unstoppable with you two.
Started following along recently, love the simplicity, fun innovative recipes and best of all you guys are having fun! Gotta love all the movie quotes as well. Great job guys!
@@ItsAPartywithNateandCJ Maybe I just haven't come across it yet but maybe something with grouper, being a Floridian myself that's the first thing that comes to mind!
Chef Nate, I'm not a big fan of Brats.....but if I am in a position to make some, I would do this recipe. It likely would make me into a bigger brat fan. Great job on these! Its flavor on flavor!
Looks like a great summer "Bring it!" Brat. Nate, I love the way you impart your skills to us viewers. It's true, we eat with our eyes, but we cook with our tastes. It would be awesome if you could convince CJ to try and grow as a cook. Rather than show us, he can make a grilled cheese sandwich, show us he can develop his skills with some mentoring from you. Of course, this would require him to open his mouth and taste different flavor profiles, but the two of you could really develop a following. Keep up the good work Nate, your making a difference. Kevin
I like to add a light roux to the liquid to make a gravy. Can dip like a jus or make it a little thicker and plate the brats up with a little smashed potatoes or pot stickers. Mmmmm.
1) This show has gotten better now that CJ can talk 2) Great move with the Yuengling, my go to for beer brats 3) Why dome when you can just close the lid? LOL
Very cool recipe. I'll try it next time I do brats. The beer choice makes a ton of sense too. I love the shirt Nate! Do we need to start a clothes fundraiser for CJ? I seem to recall that he also wore HIS shirt when we had a beer one day too. I hope he at least washes them :)
I do like a brat every now and then, but summer grilling/ griddling it is a must even as a appetizer as a prelude to the main meal, why not you have the grill or griddle all ready hot. Even if you are not eating them today store them overnight with the onions, garlic peppers and the juice of the beer as the brats cool that juice is pull back into the brat added more flavor the next day. A nice piece of provolone cheese would have been a nice additon to the flavors. Brats are differently and grill/griddle summer favorite. I do it similar way with the onions garlic and peppers. I do like a ground mustard on my brats. But the addition of mayo, mustard and rosemary along with the Cento's Italian spread add so heat along with acid to cut the fats of the brat. When you added that Italian spread it was like the commercial you smack you head and say I could of had a V8. Sometime the perfect thing is at your finger tips and forget to even consider adding it to a recipe until you see someone else do it. Then like in this case you smack your head and say I could have added Cento's all along.
🤣😂 thanks Rick! I agree, sometimes an “ah-ha” moment hits us all. I love the little punch of acidity from the cento on brats. A little cheese would’ve made this one even better too
I like this but I would have put those peppers and onions from the beer boil direct in the griddle for a lil char action and then on dah brats. Oh yeah…

🤣😂 thanks brother! Yeah, Cj likes to wear his own swag 😒
Has Blackstone compiled some cookbooks that would help a beginning griddler learn the ropes?

Those of us who live in Minnesota and love Yuengling are quite jealous right now.
You need to try bahama mamas from Schmidt’s sausage Haus. I make mine with onions and sauerkraut delish
Great suggestions, Marya. Thanks for sharing!

Adding some provalon cheese appreciate y'all
Definitely! That sounds perfect
How do you know when the sausage is fully cooked?
once it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees. if you cook them often enough, you just know though.
This is so much more interesting when he's laid back with CJ enjoyed it so much better.
I knew he’d eventually crack 😎

Yep you are way off of traditional beer brat since it's a popular German dish. I don't know about the Italian spread but the rest looks good.

I want to see CJs take on this recipe Come on CJ let’s see it
