Greetings from Dhaka, Bangladesh. For me Palitana reeds sound sweet, deeper, melodious, subdued and mind-blowing. German and Paris reeds are temperless and thus just don't sound as good as Palitana. Paris Reed harmonium with coupler on sounds nice and mellow. Palitana Reed harmonium with coupler off sounds good. Like someone in the comment said it also depends on the player. I fully agree with him. These harmoniums are custom made so they are bound to sound good compared to the ones you buy from the shops with Palitana Reeds.

Hello all. I would like add my personal opinion and experinces. It is not only about reed brand. Its is about their real time condition. So if the real time condition of German and Paris is bad than they will sound bad no matter if they are german or paris. Likewise if any palitana reed no matter if it has been designated as a lower level or higher level. It will sound bad. So it is risky business. Another thing. If any reed sounds good, it doesnt mean it will continue to sound good. If you dont know how to fix the error than your screwed. Now talking about Keshav tewari. I think he tries his best to make better harmonium and this guy worth trying. I tried along with some of my friends and we are pleased. Houston weather and Dallas weather are different then kolkatta so some issues may be expected but overall quality is good. So he is worth trying. And it is my few dimes for you all. He is also easily approchable which is one thing I like about him Dr. Ashfaque. Houston.TX

palitana reeds sounds is Sweet but Paris and German reeds sound brighter but sweetness not observed .But after closing coupler Palitana harmonium sound found best for singing.
All 3 are best. Very difficult to say which is no. 1 . However Palitana is 10 out of 10 Paris is 9.9 out of 10, German 9.8 out of 10. Very nice and melodious.

German reeds new ones not available now as production stopped in 1960 only. Paris reeds too are now not produced in our country. Palitana reeds are the best ones. How to obtain them ? It has become problematic as the manufacturer not responding to customers' demand.
