there were some oily substance at the centre pad of the switch which seems to be the cause of electrical non-contact.

@@willwen6600 possibly from something being spilt on the unit? Should normally be any oily substances around the contacts.

Do t understand why you took all door skin off … that park is held in with one screw and switches pop out .. keep door in tack

I was repairing the door trim and I also didn't want to risk breaking the locking tabs.
