Nice work bro! Aye a nice way to get them studs off after you're done with em is with a vice grip or pliers. Snatch em from the base and twist and they pop right off no holes or extra stuff to grind off.
a complete bare metal project should always have a thin coat of etch primer before you epoxy prime then high build primer or surface primer and my tip for today is always go back and forth with color on your layers ; so your etch primer will mostly be transparent green gray then go red or black epoxy primer then go to gray surfacer primer then of course white top coat i do it this way so you always can see if you have complete coverage try to end up with gray before top coat because it has the best coverage ability with any color of top coat and i always re sealer prime wet on wet before top coat i know its alot but trust me i painted for a lot of years this is how i paint my own cars and how i would paint your car too

Can use a pair of Dykes and grab on the knob closest to the sheet metal on the dog that you aren't on there and you can gently twisted side to side and I'll snap off as long as you didn't weld them into deep

I just moved from the Mainland to Hawaii 3 months ago to work for a luxury/exoctic car dealership running their parts warehouse and I had to buy something quick so I bought a 86 S-10, it's nothing special but I'm well on my way to making it a good looker. It was original Silver but someone repainted it Blue sometime in the mid-90's and it looks like crap so I have to repaint it so I'm going sand it all the way down and change the color, The new color is going to be 2024 BMW Sunset Orange Metallic, why? first Orange is my favorite color and I got a SMOKING deal on the paint, I bought a gallon of it that had a fenders worth of paint taken out it for $25 from the body shop, I will have to pay for the reducer and hardener but being an employee I pay dealership cost. The interior is Grey and other than the seat being trashed and I went to a junk yard here this weekend and bought a set of Grey bucket seats out of a 08 Toyota Camry for $100, they aren't the EXACT same Grey color but IDC. The only I really don't like are the wheels, they are the stock wheels off mid 90's S-10, which I suspect were put on when it was repainted, but I'm going to keep them on for now and eventually I'll change them out for some Enkie 72's after i get some money back in the bank.

Also if the stud pops off clean you can re use them. We used to get 3-4 uses out of them. You can use a pair of wire cutters to get them off clean.

If you use a pair of plyers to grab and twist the head of the stud it'll come off the car easily, and you can sometimes reuse the studs a few times.
I kinda loving the rust look make it look more meaner…. That just my thought but I would leave rust like that on my truck then sprry primer

Work the dents from the outside to the inside of the dent and you could use a pair of dikes to cut off the studs that way you can reuse some
