Being that I'm somewhat housebound, illness abounds, I have to say, I love your vids, with them I can travel once again, thank you Adam, for allowing me, and others, to tag along!
Interesting! BTW, since you seemed unsure, it's pronounced AH VAY Maria. Latin. It just means Hail Mary, an ancient prayer. Hope you can visit the Atlanta area sometime. I know you've been here a few times in the past, such as your visits to Stone Mountain and to check out the "Stranger Things" filming sites. There are a lot of odd, out of the way nooks and crannies in this part of the world. Hmmm...then again, you show us every day that amazing places are hidden in EVERY part of the world! THANKS, ADAM!!!
Thank you Adam! Betlehem is a combination of 2 Hebrew words: Beit which means house and Lechem which means bread. Betlehem literally translates to "House of Bread"
Good morning Adam the Woo, Jennifer Castorina, Julia Lee, jessintn & lemmy kilmister. lemmy kilmister I love your username!! Motorhead is on of my favorite heavy metal bands. I've seen Iron Maiden live back in 2012 in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
In Alabama and a few other southern states, they disable the catch on Gas Pumps. Some law was passed after to many people over filled unattended cars. I learned this after a N/S trip in a gas guzzling small RV that had a 20 gal tank and got 11 to the gallon. We had to pull over every 3 hours for fuel.
The folks on those grounds are very hospitable. It is one of the natures of monks of the Benedictine order (OSB) to be very guest oriented. Where you are is very near the home of the EWTN network. There are also Franciscan nuns and friars very nearby. They have a LOT of places to visit.
Hey Adam, when you where at the Ave Maria Grotto, you where close to my neck of woods, I live in Falkville, not that far away from my home. I have been to the Ava maria Grotto so many times over the years, I can remember going there when I was just a little girl, I have always thought it was wonderful. Glad you enjoyed your visit, hope you have a great time in Alabama, stay safe.
Thank you for this video! For years I've had an old photo of my Abbott Grandparents and two Great Uncles standing in front of a unique place! A year or so ago, my cousin told me it was taken at this very place! It was nice to "walk with you' through this Beautiful site! I have a lot of cousins in Cullman! Some of them used to see Hank Williams Jr. there, years back, when he lived there, on Smith Lake, I believe! Safe travels, Adam! :)
The Ave Maria Grotto was very cool. Ave is pronounced "ah-vey". His style of sculpting is similar to Gaudi who is most famous for The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. You know I've drawn this comparison before, but your life's work is very similar to Zoettl's...one stone a day for him, one video a day for you. If you keep up with a daily vlogs...what an impressive display of work you will have accomplished in your lifetime.
Thank you. My husband has been in a wheelchair since he was about 15. After years together I automatically pick up on handicap accessibility and the lack there of.
Adam if the lock devise on the pump handle is missing try inserting your gas cap between the pump handle and the lower guard you might have to fiddle with it the first time but try it it will work. No worries about over fill they stop automatically.
I reiterate that place is awesome. Thanks so much for reminding me what a great place it was. I visited here quite a few years ago and you get that serene, peaceful feeling while there. It is so hard to describe unless you are there. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Stay Safe and Warm.
Actually Adam, the Tower of Babel explains the origin of different languages, not speaking in tongues. The Tower is discussed in Genesis 11. Speaking in tongues is first found in Acts 2.
Happy Sunday Everyone! Last rest day before we all return back to the weekly grind 👍🏼. I really enjoyed this Vlog 👍🏼 Very appropriate for a ☀️ Sunday! Watched & Liked 👍🏼👍🏼
hi adam thanks for the trip it is nice to see things one day i may go. there is an old town in mississippi called happy valley you may like to see they are redoing the town and it it keep you down south away from this crazy weather stay safe
My brother went to St. Bernard's. Been to the Grotto, it's really amazing!! I can't believe you skipped Huntsville, go back if you can there's a lot of old historical homes. Thanks Adam, it's fun to see places Ives been to as a child!!! Got my WOO FIX for the day!!! Stay safe my friend!!!!!😀😀
Oh yes - I forgot about what we called growing up Little Jerusalem in Cullman - but was afraid it was too mainstream for you ---- Av-a is the way we say it - You are so close to those places I mentioned yesterday on hwy 157 - toward Moulton and Florence Muscle Shoals area -- So Nice To Have You In Alabama - Welcome - my husband who also follows you now as well has many family up in that neck of the woods you are in for this vlog
Hey Adam, I just watched the video called "before he became the woo" on your dad's channel. Very funny!! I also remember my 1st mountain dew, It was in a bar my dad frequented in a small town in Idaho were we lived in the early 80's & given to me by the bar tender!! oh how things have changed. Also I like to play with words and always called Winnie the Pooh "Pinnie the Wooh" so when I came across your videos I thought of Winnie the Pooh!! Been watching every day since & loving it!!! Hope you plan on coming to Oregon soon!!!!
Not only is it a great thing to see all the hard work that one man did to create something but it's also a good thing that they do charge a entry fee so people can give back ...
The Grotto and the Chapel were absolutely awe inspiring!!!!! Too beautiful to take it all in. Thank you so much for sharing. Tried boiled peanuts and just can't say anything nice about them. Sort of tastes like they got left out in the rain for about a week. I'll take mine roasted.
Funny but true.....my husband has a digital watch (it's time is in line and set by the world clock by satellite) and the only way he can reset the ( it does it automatically) dang thing is to set it in our bathroom, by the toilet of all places...lol, so it will set on it's own, can take up to 45 minutes.... Funny sounding I know. Now I know why I like my old fashion Timex...lol.
hi adam, i love the videos, thanks for being a daily vlogger! if the auto-fill mechanism on the fuel pump handle doesn't work, just wedge your fuel cap under the trigger to hold it "on" and it will work like a charm. :D
Jamie Bester I personally think Adam would love our entire beautiful country and start in British Colombia and drive thru all the provinces ( including Manitoba lol) and right to Newfoundland! Don't forget Adam, your dollar is worth .28 more per dollar. It's worth the trip buddy!
the "ave" in "ave maria" is pronounced with two syllables. The first syllable is "ah" as in father and the second syllable is "vay" where the e is pronounced as a long a. In a nutshell remember to use the Spanish vowels when pronouncing the Latin words.
Wish I'd known you were in town, there's a lot more to see around here. Ghostly areas, civil war museum, covered bridges, etc. You could spend days exploring this area
We had been stuck in WY for several days on loads BOTH coming into and going outta Nevada, and right now I could stand for a whole lot warmer temps and a WHOLE LOT LESS WIND!!! I didn't have cell service for a couple of days and I felt I was having Adam da Woo withdrawals. Glad ta see ya once again on my cell's screen, hun. Be safe out there and stay warm. 😨
Very interesting video! What a labor of love and devotion not to mention legacy that this man left for people to see! Thanks for posting this, Adam! Take care!
Remarkable! Thanks for taking me there. What I miss most in my old age is not being able to drive, and see the country. This channel of daily woo makes me so happy. I love large Marg and your routine of eating chips, in a bag, closed with a rubberband. Amen
Todays vlog was super fantastic i lived in Alabama for a year and never knew that place exhisted most definatly will have to take a trip out that way some time. thanks again an see you next time.
Good day to you Adam, and thank you yet again for your constant dedication to daily vlogging 🎥 Some vlogs are very informative on American 🇺🇸 history, some are quirky roadside attractions/landmark but one thing they have in common is that they are all awesome. Top work 👍🏻 from a UK fan 🇬🇧
I grew up and still live in Alabama. The Ave Maria Grotto was a place I really loved as a child. The chipmunk crossing was especially fun to see. I never saw a chipmunk use it either. We had so much time back then as kids that we did go visit places like this. My own kids are almost grown and we never found time to go. We could go today, but they have their video games and apps that are so much more important that need attending to.
Good morning Adam! I still remember that the late host of California Gold has visited the 21 Spanish California Missions. I am wondering if you could do the same thing when you revisit California.
That's really cool, Adam, I respect that. I know that I'm thankful for all those little things that I received from my dad, and he's been gone now for over 28 years. I have come to look forward to your vlogs everyday, even though I didn't mean to!
I know this is an older video but a tip if the gas latch is broken, put the gas cap in between the trigger and the bottom of the nozzle. Works perfectly! lol
"Ave" is pronounced "ah vay" I totally enjoyed this video, what a beautiful lifelong work this monk created. You are so enjoyable to watch and I learn something every day, I see something I would never see, thanks so much. This place was fantastic.
You did a video in Texas, where you showed a wall made from conch shells by the artist, Dionicio Rodriguez. He also created the Crystal Shrine Grotto in Memphis, TN. It's an incredible place to visit. It's called a grotto, but it's really a large cave that has lots of different nooks you can walk to and see all sorts of work by different artists. Not many people know about the place - sort of a hidden secret. Located at Poplar Avenue and Yates inside the Memorial Park Gardens Cemetery. Really enjoyed this video!!!
+TheDailyWoo, That is an amazing grotto that Brother Joseph Zoetl created. I wonder how long it took him to make that grotto, that's dedication for sure!! Adam are you planning on visiting Canada during your travels?
If you ever venture into Washington State, there is a Large Catholic Monastery and Grotto around Vancouver somewhere, I cant remember exactly where but I was only 6 or 7 years old at the time, it reminded me of this place that you just visited.
ADAM, consider picking up a small clip on wide angle lens, anker makes one, they are cheap. Would be fun to try out and would help get more in the frame.
Will you do an update about how it been living and traveling in the RV? Anything you would do over again and things you thought would be harder but where not?
my wife bought me an Adam The Woo hat and tee shirt for my birthday!!! really exciting. we are huge fans!! thank you for doing what you do!

I don't know what is more amazing, your blogs or the fact you can eat just a few chips and put the bag away.
Being that I'm somewhat housebound, illness abounds, I have to say, I love your vids, with them I can travel once again, thank you Adam, for allowing me, and others, to tag along!

Lynn Bell When I watched Stranger Things I new immediately that was Georgia! Didn't you. I know my home state!
Thank you Adam! Betlehem is a combination of 2 Hebrew words: Beit which means house and Lechem which means bread. Betlehem literally translates to "House of Bread"
One piece at a time
the only comment i have is that its ave(awe-vay) ave(ehv) means the evening of mary
Your respect toward the Grotto was touching. You are a special young man and I pray your future will be as special as your kindness
tower of babal is about how God gave people different language
And now you've introduced his passion to a new generation. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Peace.
Good Morning Adam & everyone here :-)

Such a Beautiful hand crafted structure. had to pause it several times to take it all in. ty 4 sharing. God Bless the hands that made it all.

Adam, you struck gold yet again! Thanks for another fun video.
I've been following Adams RUclips channel for close to four years now, and this is the first place that he has visited that I have actually been to.
Wow Adam, Thank You for taking us to the grotto, awesome place, awesome man doing that singlehandedly, amazing!
Thank you for this video! For years I've had an old photo of my Abbott Grandparents and two Great Uncles standing in front of a unique place! You can feel the love that went into his creation. Awesome video!
I like how it is all handicap accessible. That's a detail born out of compassion for fellow human beings.
sweetpea That's an incredible insight....
You are a very astute and compassionate person you're self. I say this because it takes one to know one....awesome assessment #sweetpea (=:
Thank you. My husband has been in a wheelchair since he was about 15. After years together I automatically pick up on handicap accessibility and the lack there of.
Happy Sunday everyone! Anyone else groggy after the time change? lol

Laughed hysterically at your first "Welcome everyone Adam the Woo here" . HA!

Listen to Lana De Rey - Ride while driving cause this is your life right now
Check out " Ave Maria Grotto " in Wikipedia. It's in Cullman Alabama. It's Beautiful, if I wasn't in Maine with no car I would head right over.

snowed yesterday in Tennessee, good thing you left that area
Good timing to watch this before attending church. Got me in the right frame of mind. Thanks Adam.

12:50 Adam ,, you're missing that foam or expanded metal panel that serves as a filter on the range hood.
amazing place! lots of hidden gems in our country. Enjoy the extra hour of daylight and stay dry! Laughter is truly the BEST medicine!
The tower of babble is why we have different languages. Birth place of tongues is from day of pentecost.

This journey was most impressive Adam. Thank you.
Good morning! I'm impressed with your religious knowledge (or did you read it on site?)
my dad was a preacher . I retained a lot of it
That's really cool, Adam, I respect that. I know that I'm thankful for all those little things that I received from my dad, and he's been gone now for over 28 years. I have come to look forward to your vlogs everyday, even though I didn't mean to!

Nothing like a good ole Hitchcock moment to end the vlog! 👍
That was really amazing to see. that's alot of work.

If you ever venture into Washington State, there is a Large Catholic Monastery and Grotto around Vancouver somewhere, I cant remember exactly where but I was only 6 or 7 years old at the time, it reminded me of this place that you just visited.
it's sad the you are only 50 minutes away from me and there is no way to come and say hey. keep everything going mr woo!
Adam twinsies! I have that Epcot sweatshirt too...I might wear it today. Great vlog today, I love all the cool things you find out there. :)
What a beautiful grotto that was. I would so much love to see a place like that.
ADAM, consider picking up a small clip on wide angle lens, anker makes one, they are cheap. Would be fun to try out and would help get more in the frame.
There is also a GROTTO called the" DICKEYVILLE GROTTO" In dickeyville Wisconsin...
I keep imagining just the forest ....and how much better that looks. Man certainly has a way of cluttering up things. Self importance. and all that.
That was the best Daily Woo ever.
Its a few hours north west of me next time I go through there I'm gonna have to check it out. Thank you for posting this I never knew it was there!!
Come to Winston County. Tons of History in such a little town. It's 45 minutes from Cullman.
Will you do an update about how it been living and traveling in the RV? Anything you would do over again and things you thought would be harder but where not?
Adam you are awesome! Have a nice day!
Perfect vlog for a sunday morning,, so cool
