We have a scientific consensus about what's happening in reality and it's a political process to react and attempt to mitigate this consensus." Knowles is great at what he does. The climate change deal has always baffled me. I worked in a harbor on the pacific for 40 years...our facility had 600 steel piles anchored in bedrock securing the floating dock system. In those 40 years the sea level didnt increase at all. In addition, despite the massive increase in the local population during the same 40 years, sea life was booming. Whales not seen in 20-40 years were making a comeback and in my last couple years there were even green sea turtles not seen in those waters for perhaps 80 years.

Hard not to laugh at people that think the world won't be habitable in 10 or 20 years. They were saying that when I was a kid in the early 90s, and before that when my parents were kids.
At least back then they were just pushing that we separated our trash (which still largely isn't recycled, even if you bin it right) and ride bike on shorter trips. Which were actually decent ideas.

I was just watching a documentary talking about climate change as well, and the whole video only talked about the west as if we were the big polluters. Not a single mention of China or India. It used fake footage from the Australian fires that were actually started by eco terrorist arsonists and claimed it was because of pollution.
All they would say the solution was, was carbon taxing. Not a mention of how that would stop it beyond, "it discourages excess Carbone".. it's disgusting how disingenuous these people are and how they manipulate people with fake scientific propaganda.

every time I hear about a "concensus" I remember that one site that tracks studies about "healthy" and "dangerous" products, and it's literally the same products in both columns. the left likes to speak about science as if a scientist observing a thing and saying " I think it's X" instantly and irrevocably makes it a fact. I mean maybe it was the way "science" worked back in the 1st century when one educated dude could convince everyone about miasmas and humors, but I thought we've sort of moved past this stage.

Knowles is great at what he does. The climate change deal has always baffled me. I worked in a harbor on the pacific for 40 years...our facility had 600 steel piles anchored in bedrock securing the floating dock system. In those 40 years the sea level didnt increase at all. In addition, despite the massive increase in the local population during the same 40 years, sea life was booming. Whales not seen in 20-40 years were making a comeback and in my last couple years there were even green sea turtles not seen in those waters for perhaps 80 years.

He seems unable to get his head around the possibility that someone can make a mistake and then correct the mistake. It's almost like this kid wants to forever persecute Michael for making a mistake and the idea that he could have gone to length to correct that mistake is not enough, it's never enough.
