Bob The Drag Queen is back with a new standup special, Crowd Work. This time she's answering the audience's questions in this hilarious standup comedy set.
The way Bob is able to talk to an audience and make everybody feel like they’re hanging out with a friend, listening to funny stories, is an absolute power talent. I hope to catch them the next time they’re doing a show in Atlanta.
@@Unintelligentful this person clearly hadn’t heard of crowd work. Just because you are smart, doesn’t mean you have to be offended when others have conversations about things you already know
This is so true. We often underestimate kids once we’re adults but we forget that when we were kids we were actually really intelligent and able to comprehend the basic foundation of a lot of adult issues, even if we couldn’t get all the nuances just yet.
I was a GA 9th grade English and drama teacher and every time I watch Bob do comedy I wonder if he would have been like my student Ashley that I never forgot about. She was so funny and knew she could get me off topic by making me laugh. She would randomly say something like, "y'all picture Ms.Anderson on the beach in a leopard skin bikini and thigh high boots!" Or "Girl, your breath smells like hot lettuce!"I don't know why that's hilarious to me but she got me every time.😂
@@ReunionMana She also like to say "I'm so hungry I could eat fried toenails!" She's probably in her late 30s early '40s now and I can't believe I can still remember all that like it was yesterday
@@MaryJoMamaJojothis is what i love about being a teacher. moments with the kids that are so funny you still remember it like it was just yesterday, even memories that the at the heartstrings.
@@tiatortilla So true! The heart tugging moment came years later when I ran into her in the grocery store and she was finally out of the closet and had a sweet partner❤️
god damn bob is good at her job, sometimes I forget she really is a comedian and not just a funny queen. I have been depressed for weeks and I laughed out loud so many times watching these videos, thanks mawma ❤❤❤
I love your explanation of drag for people who interact with kids but aren’t family. It’s an awesome way to have that conversation with kids. I’m going to give some context in who I am because I agree with you, Bob. 7th and 8th grade is ROUGH when you’re a kid doing it, let alone when you’re trying to interact with kids at that age as an adult. I was born and raised in Miami, FL and I am third generation. The only time those 3 generations didn’t live in Miami was from 1962-1964 when my grandparents moved to Atlanta, GA for my grandfather’s work, and my mom was 8-10 years old. Now, I think the problem with Atlanta, GA in 1962-1964 is somewhat apparent, but I’m going to explain. My grandmother was an exceptionally kind soul. She was gentle and loving and the most loving person I ever met. All of my life, I remember her taking every opportunity to teach me to be kind and not judge, particularly people, by appearances. She was not able to handle the very apparent racism in Atlanta, GA while being away from her family. So, my family moved back to Miami, FL, with my mother remembering many lessons from my grandmother about how you treat human beings privately and publicly. Fast forward to me being in elementary school in Miami, FL and watching Hollywood Squares with my mom every time it was on. One day, a wonderful star who is so funny is on. She goes by the name RuPaul. She’s glamorous and beautiful and clever. I remember thinking, “Wow. I hope to be as beautiful and funny as she is one day”. Now granted, I wasn’t in the dreaded 7th grade yet. (Boy how much that “Bullied in the anti-bullying class” rang true to me.) But RuPaul’s biological gender didn’t matter to me, nor did I consider it my business. Even when I was an adult and saw RuPaul again on an episode of season 1 of Top Chef. Anyways, as my mom and I would watch together, what mattered to us was spending time together and laughing at these funny people including RuPaul. We were excited by her appearances because we knew it was going to be funny. We were disappointed by her not being there with another person being present who we knew wasn’t as funny. My point is that spot on as your view point is about how teachers can speak about drag to kids, Bob, parents and kids’ natural demeanors along with parents’ reinforcement of kind demeanors rather than critical and harmful demeanors is necessary too. Thanks for always being there to entertain and educate, Bob. ❤❤❤
My older sis once told me that as a 6th grader, I'd be scarier than the 8th graders. Did I wish that, for a good kid too, that the statement would be true!
How long have you been pregnant. I about peed myself laughing. Many years ago I ran into a couple of gay men I knew in downtown. Hadn't seen them in a long time. One of them said "Oh, when are you due?" When I said I wasn't pregnant he nearly passed out from embarrassment. Never assume a woman is pregnant unless you see an actual child emerging from her womb.
As a lifelong resident of Wisconsin of 40 years, in Fort Atkinson just about 30 minutes north of the Janesville/Beloit area by way of Hwy 26, those jokes about Beloit had me ROLLING!
Bob would have been a beloved drama teacher.
Seriously!!!!!!
💯

i think bob's pronouns are she/her and he/him! (unless they've been changed recently)
She makes it look so easy it doesn't look like stand up, literally is her TALKING with the audience and making them all laugh. A gifted one. 👛
Crowd work is a part of stand up. You should look up crowd work if you like this style of comedy:) there is plenty out there

That’s because it’s not standup lol

I love Bob. I adore intelligent queens. She is good at this because she is so smart. Humor takes intelligence. I love Bob.💅
Kudos! I totally agree.

The call out to Monet at 13:00, had me in tears! Love their love for one another.
She flawlessly executed that Monét read 🤣🤣🤣
Watching someone be so in their element & doing what they love is so amazing. This stand up is PHENOMENAL!!!! So funny

I love how you manage to bully Monet like it's Sibling Rivalry! lol
And they teamed up so well in Dungeons and Drag Queens on Dimension 20.
As an eep-el-eep-tic drag queen, I approve lmao
"whatever monet is doing" Bob is the funniest human being
That epilepsy story was hilarious!! Definitely want to watch that whole special
My mom taught 7th grade science for about thirty years. I still don’t know how she stayed sane.
That epilepsy joke had me dying lol
I mean, I knew Bob was a great comedian, but I didn't realize they're this good at crowd work! Love to see a pro do what they do best
Bob makes this look effortless, so naturally funny
I need to see Bob do a bit as a theater teacher. My god.
Girl just drop the whole set already 😭 were hungry

7th graders being described as demons is so true
Bob helping me laugh through my cramps.
As a retired teacher, I totally agree, my seventh grade classes were the worst 😂
I am a middle school drama teacher. 6-8 grade. You’re not totally wrong!
