- The announcement that the ICC prosecutor is seeking an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, is a signal to Israel that the international community will not accept the perpetration of "war crimes in response to war crimes", says Yossi Mekelberg, Associate Fellow of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Programme at Chatham House in London. Mr. Mekelberg also highlights that Israel did not heed Biden's prescient warning to learn from America's mistakes following 9/11. The Chatham House Associate Fellow joins FRANCE 24's Mark Owen for in-depth analysis and a deeper perspective on the Israel-Hamas war and the ensuing fallout over the ICC's unprecedented arrest warrant requests.

Neither the government nor IDF has the competence, discipline, or respect for humanity to avoid mass civilian casualties and mass starvation. It has no, zero, moral compass to prevent indiscriminate violence.

Where's the sanctions for Israel and those who send the bombs
It is high time Netanyahu's impunity for crimes against humanity came to an end. The ICC should also seek warrants for Blinken and Biden for their complicity.
Will south Africa 🇿🇦 arrest all criminal?
Very good analysis! Very important and clear message that war crimes nowhere are accepted !
Well done Israël 🇮🇱
Exactly
That depends on wether the first war crime was a retaliation to the second war crime, or if the second war crime was committed as a result of the first war crime, or if.the second war crime was against the first or second war crime or if the first war crime was against the second war crime.......I give up....

No, it has the right, but not indiscriminately.
In an attempt to defeat the mafia, Italy never bombed Palermo and other Sicilian cities. It's a simple question of logic and humanity.
@@trumpforever6706 Gaza was 25% HAMAS fighters by their own published pre-attack figures. And you wonder why so many in gaza are toast. The Mafia wasn't using rocket attacks against itally for a decade prior to a terrorist attack either. Itally didn't need to invent iron dome to defend itself against mafia. You claiming its the same thing is absurd. just like supporting trump is absurd.
Well said. War crimes in response to war crimes are unacceptable
The ICC is correct regarding the accusations of war crimes of the prime minister of Israel and the chiefs of Hamas. Far too many civilian deaths.
RS. Canada
It is a simple situation: if Israel is confident that they haven't committed any war crimes, let Netanyahu and Gallant hand themselves over to the ICC. They will be tried and found not guilty.
