When FireAlarmDude5967 tests his carbon monoxide detector, his does a tone saying: "WARNING CARBON MONOXIDE!!! PLEASE EVACUATE THE BUILDING!!!" Apparently here we just have clicking and peizo. I think a voice would be cool but is there a reason why you don't have that?
This is a real protection system so I'd need everything to be supervised and proper components. Those are extremely expensive especially for me living in Canada where parts are limited and more expensive.
Firealarmdude5967 uses a mp3 player playing the CO Message from a ELK 110V5. MP3 players are not used in real applications. Voice evac systems usually play tones during COs, not standard systems
Programmed two firelite es-50x systems with fs-tools at work today. Did everything from programming points to zone correlations and cellular dialer info.
He will be getting rid of it possibly in the future and tie that SLC circuit from the Fire-Lite MS-9200UDLS into the Notifier NFS-320C using a box in the garage with the wiring spliced through
I'm not exactly sure but wouldn't a drill be considered? Also a carbon monoxide event to practice for and maybe they they are running it all into the same alarm sequence. So maybe there's a way to program different drills into the drill button?
Try installing a control module which will disconnect co strobe circuit from your system during the drill. This may apply also to generator shutdown, damper closing, house alarm tie-in and etc.
I was wondering, when an alarm happens does, where does it dial into?. Does it go to a 911 dispatch center of some alarm monitoring company who would then notify fire dispatch. Also if the connection drops and the business or school is closed then basically they are screwed and hopefully someone sees the fire or smoke and then calls 911. Many moons ago a fire alarm went off in an apartment high rise security muted the alarm instead of the firefighters who responded. The fire chief was extremely mad they muted the alarm before they arrived. Your videos are fantastic especially when you test alarm systems.
@ Yeah, unfortunately that’s the way it is. I learned all this from my MS-9600UDLS panel. With Notifier, you can do custom drill but you need Verifire Tools to do it.
@@stillthakoolest To determine whether your unit is run on gas or electric is easy. Look at the unit near the base of it. If there is a steel pipe going to it then it is gas. If there are no pipes then it is most likely electric.
I mean you could use the software to program correlations of the activated device to only activate the NAC you need but it is hard with the drill button in general. I personally have never touched Fire-Lite or the software so idk if you can edit the correlation of the drill button or not. just throwing it out there is all.
Hmm... Thats weird... german panel also have that fuction where it only activates the pa system lol! You should get one for your colection! I reccomend one from esser. But anyways, cool vid as always nic! Keep it up :)
I thinking the firelite may have a bug error because the firelite panel does not let you select the drill you want. Also I thinking pushing the drill button on the firelite panel will set every emergency alarms includes fire alarm, police alarm, medical alarms, carbon monoxide alarm, and other alarms.
Hey nic. Wondering what tools i should get. Starting on being an electrician/security/fire alarm tech. Plan to be a electrician with my fire tech certification. So im just wondering what tools i should get.
It looks like the Drill function only turns on NACs and control modules which are set as silenceable. I was curious enough that I pulled up the manual and I found this: "When the Drill key is held for two seconds (time required to prevent accidental activations), the MS-9200 turns on both main panel NAC outputs and all silenceable circuits (all control modules/NACs that are programmed silenceable) and turns off the Alarm Silence LED."
That would be my assumption. In the manual for the 9600 there is a specific note that the drill function will not activate non-silenceable outputs. So I would guess based on the way the statement is written in the 9200 manual that setting that module to non-silenceable would have the same effect.
Another commentator has said that as well that would be something I would have to try however couldn't leave it as I do want it to be able to be silenced
Is there any option to program this with the computer as there is a USB connection on the circuit board some manufacturers of pieces of equipment like this is very limited user options because most qualified people would have access to the professional level software?
Uh oh, I think Nic just gave himself a reason to tie the whole garage system into the house system instead of just having the garage on a separate system lol. But seriously, I think that is just a bunch of bullcrap that you can't do that. I hope they improved that on the FireLite ES panels because that is what I have lol
In my hospital that I work at when they test it everything goes off it's a gentle bell ding thingy but all the doors/magnetic doors close it lets go of the magnet....as well as when its real or a false alarm I could never tell if its real or not only then when the message says its a test or all clear...but it doesn't matter alarms goes off and all doors close....I dont know if they are testing the whole system to make sure alarm triggers fire doors or whatever the case may be but happens every time....Im hoping they dont make the system set off everything alarms sprinklers and doors and whatever else alarm is connected during a test or an oopsy or triggered by shitty cooking
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous, flammable gas that is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and slightly less dense than air. Me: Then how do I have Carbon Monoxide in my house?
The ads are annoying I'm debating getting RUclips premium myself. The RUclips Music app is actually pretty good there are some songs missing and that does bother me however the algorithm is the best I've ever used out of Apple Music and Spotify I must say.
I love you Nick your videos help me out a lot as a technician in Boston
I would check for any firmware updates that option may be available on different firmware

You will need to set the control module for the CO strobes as non silenceable. Drill will activate all control and relay modules set as silenceable.

try on your notifier panel if you have a notifier module to test it with
Why does the panel click like that during the drill?
Just out of curiosity, what revision is your panel on?
It's unfortunate Fire-Lite doesn't have custom drill like Notifier.
