    What I like the best for this type of technique is nothing is ever said or reccomendation made to keep the leaves from browning from injury, so looks good same day but cannot be enjoyed for more than twenty four hours. Any comments to aid the situation appreciated. Learning on keeping the design fresh is like dentistry.......pulling teeth

      Thank you for commenting.
      Firstly, there are techniques that can be applied to aid foliage longevity. Soe leaves benefit from having a smear of vaseline over t slow the drying. However, we also often deliberately use browning, dying or even very dead leaves in arrangements. Just because something is aging, doesn't necessarily mean it is no longer beautiful (leaves and humans!).
      When cutting any stem, cutting it in water may often help too.
