Hi everyone, sorry for the intro song being a bit loud, it sounded ok on my end before uploading. Also Thanks to John and Lex for using some of their content! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask! If you could leave me a like and subscribe, that would help me out a lot and would be above all much appreciated :D Thank you all for watching and I hope to see you all in the next one!
Glad I found this channel. Nice gear.
Thanks mate and thank you for watching and commenting :D It's always nice to hear from viewers!!!
Great system’s you have here❤️👍
Thank you! 🤗
Nice gear! Thanks for sharing. BTW - I would be very careful about having your left speaker so close to that radiator!
Thank you, and I moved so it's not close to a radiator anymore :p
Beautiful speakers, the 10 inch front speakers is a woofer or a subwoofer like the two on the sides???
They're all a bit of both really and it depends. In my testing they went at least as low as 15hz but I bet it'll still play 10hz too. They can also fire independently of one another to combat standing waves at specific frequencies, the speakers know this through the measurement they take via a microphone you have to put at your seating locations in the room. They can also fire together in sync for ultimate power and I've never been brave enough yet to max them out as that is so extremely loud I am afraid most of my stuff will fall of the wall and the same at my neighbours place. Everything is made from very thick steel reinforced concrete and apparently it can vibrate :p
i don't know the story with your 50s mike because of my forced abscence lol, but hopefully your problem stays fixed now and that looks a great use of the 17s :)
It's been going on since I had then, more or less why I started the channel lol seems to be fixed now though, fortunately, finally...
omfg, i thought that was sorted out before i went awol!!! holy crap youve been patient man, i thought this was something more recent, bloody hell :(
well i defo hope it stays fixed in that case, thats fore sure and ps glad your move went smoothly, place looks nice bud :)
@@gimble8638 well there was the new issue of the slave speaker loosing connection to the master, but that might have been software or something else. But either way everything seems fine now. At least I am on new pair nr 4 now and it all works as it should, so lets dream of some 90's now lol
@@gimble8638 Thanks :D
A totally unrelated question. Could you please explain how Beosound 9000 is connected to your system. Thank you very much :)
it's actually not attached yet :p I can't decide between coax - toslink - and loop it through all the speakers and going coax - toslink - into eclipse. in the first example I can keep using a beo4 for all of it. in the second example I can have all the speaker options and such but either would have to use two remotes or keep switching modes on the BR1. last option is to have it go pl to the 17's and 18's and leave the rest out. I don't intend to really use the eclipse for music anyway so I am in limbo atm :p I love looking at it though, it's so gorgeous :D
mikipedi4 I don’t have one yet. Don’t really need it, I just think it is super cool. I had hoped that there was some kind of wireless solution. But I am still considering to buy it :)
Thanks for your fast reply and great videos
@@maha96ah there is but it's kinda expensive compared, you could feed it to a beosound core and multiroom it in to all other devices. but that's a literal 15x the price compared to cables, but it then will be fully wireless except for an optical cable lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and the compliment :D
I connected my Beosound 9000 using a NL/ML converter.
My master is now ticking / clicking and the tweeter dome is not lifting - any idea what they did to fix?
At a very minimum see what happens when you unplug the speakers from the wall for 5-10 minutes and plug them back in. But if the tweeter no longer moves I would say to call your dealer, this sounds like a physical thing that's not right and needs to be fixed. I don't think this is a DIY thing unless you have all the schematics and know where everything goes, I certainly don't. I would highly recommend calling your dealers asap.
@@Mikipedia Thanks!!
@@mccarronfamily You're welcome and good luck!
i heared in your last video you mentioned you were using cat 7 cable, im assuming so correct me if im wrong, you are referring to ethernet cable?
is there a reason you are using cat 7? is this recommended by b&o?
as my thinking is cat 7 cable has sheilding that needs to be grounded, so could this not be the problem? either poor grounding or a ground loop, as a ground loop can cause noise and ticking
Yes, the ethernet cat 7 cable is for communication between the tv and speakers as designed by B&O. So B&O request you to use cat 7 and it doesn't need to be grounded. Either way it wasn't the cables causing anything at all as no matter what cables we used it kept on happening, it was something in the master speaker.
@@Mikipedia hmmmm interesting....well at least its not your problem any more lol seems they are using it on a proprietry system rather than connecting to the net then as i thought, good luck with your replacement, fingers crossed you've seen the last of your trouble
Most if not all of B&O's current speakers use cat 7 cables for the connections. All speakers are active so all the amplification is done in the speakers and so is how they resolve the sound data. My beolab 18's and 17's are also fed by cat 7 cables as they are currently the best standard cables with the best shielding and as speaker cables do they are absolutely flawless in function and data transmission. I think some other companies like devialet are also using cat 7 cables now. The Beolab 50's have been absolutely flawless since the master was replaced and they sound so gooood, they are as they're supposed to be and they are really top notch, one of the best speakers in the world currently! Thank you for watching and commenting, I always like the interaction with the people that watch my videos :D
Boooaaaaaahhhhhh !!!!!!
It sounds great !!!! 👍
thank you!
So what was the root cause and what did they fix?
I don't know what the root cause was, they never really told me exactly. They fixed something in software as all of them are fine now. My guess is that the original software was fine on most chipsets but hadn't been accounted for the slight differences between chipsets. That's all fixed now and they work delightfully once more :)
maybe ditch the 50's and get a pair of 90's?
forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/36238.aspx
PS: small typo in the subs text 'Beolan' or Beolab?
lol, thanks aaaaaaand fixed! I always dream of beolab 90's, to those who haven't heard them, Don't! It'll ruin your idea of what a great speaker is...
You're playing RUclips music through Beolab 50's..? No wonder they didn't sound right!
you didn't really pay attention did you..?

Play it with techno. Frank Mauz it's the best test
is it copyright free?
@@Mikipedia yeah! And that's what separates the good speakers from the rest. With classical music and Modern Talking it's not OK
