Gorgeous! The color pencils really make this have a softer look. This is one of my favorites to date! The birds are so sweet looking and the white dot in their eyes really sets them off!
The details..... the details.... such wonderful work you do especially in the details.... I just love watching you paint and color in the details.... thanks for such a relaxing video and music too.... thanks for everything you inspire me to do !
Coucou, c'est très beau....j'utilise l'aquarelle mais je ne savais pas que l'on pouvait "marier" les crayons de couleur avec.....quel superbe résultat merci beaucoup pour le partage, bon week-end
You robins look the robins I see out my window in the spring. very happy page. Merry, Merry to whatever you celebrate this time of year. thanks as always for sharing.
Very nice, Rach! Watercolor was my first art medium after photography and before stamping and mixed media. I need to get back to my roots, so to speak. 😊
Thank you. Watercolour is a great medium, you should definitely get back to it. I always forgot how much I enjoy using them until I get them out again. :-)
Rachel, this is lovely...I could watch you color all day (if time allowed)... It is so relaxing and enjoyable to to see you bring images to life. I'm intrigued by the use of watercolor as a base layer and that you used the same large round brush throughout even for the smaller areas! WOW... I will always smile when we use our Prismacolors (mine with the magical sharp points LOL) and... I have a renewed appreciation for using a stamp positioner as opposed to a stamp platform to better visualize the placement for all that holly around the edges. Thank you for sharing your time, energy, and creativity with us once again and for continuing the 6x6 challenges. I'm a couple behind but hope to catch up when life allows. Take care and have a great day!!! :-)
Thank you Sue. I think of you and your nice pointy Prismas every time I'm struggling to sharpen mine, lol. An old school stamp positioner is still my go-to tool for precision stamping. I have a stamping platform, but forget it's there most of the time, lol
@@artfulevidence I need to figure out how I can get you a Bostitch Quiet Sharp6 electric sharpener that will work with UK electric because it is an awesome sharpener and I rarely have trouble with any brand of pencil including the Prismacolors. I have a hard enough time staying inside the lines with a sharp point, I'd look like I was in grade school with a dull tip. LOL
Thank you Julia. The best way to learn with watercolours is really just to get stuck in and play with them. They can have a bit of a life of their own, but that is part of their charm :-)
❤️ OH. ❤️ MY. ❤️ GOODNESS !!!!!❤️ This video was such a wonderful treat‼️ Rachel - how did you manage to pack in so much “AWESOME” into your little 6x6 space?! Oh how I love to watch these longer videos of you painting, colouring etc. The attention to detail with your colour choices, the shading, the composition/positioning... I just love it! The longer run time on the video is such a treat; because it means I can really grasp just how taking time to layer colour adds so much dimension... and it’s so relaxing/comforting/entertaining!! I can’t explain it! LOL. Sorry to gush (not really! haha); but I just can’t say enough, except THANK YOU for another visual gift of “happy”! All the best to you - stay well! 💕from🇨🇦
Rachel, would you consider filming a video in real time? Would be much appreciated, I love your beautiful style of creating artwork. Merry Christmas from Germany :o)
So sweet. Wish our American robins looked like these, they're so cute. Love the colours.
Your Cardinals are so beautiful and bright, but yes Robin's are lovely and quite cheeky and can become quite tame.
Thanks Susan. Glad you liked it :-)

I was considering a while ago doing a couple of live streams which would obviously be in real time, so it's definitely a possibility in the future :-)
