Try to understand everything and got at least 40% of my savings in gold, fbegan buying 2012. 20% bitcoin, 20% silver, rest in FIAT. The Niue "New aye" are sold through New Zealand mint and actually minted through Scottsdale mint. I have both gold and silver coins from the NZ Mint. Ironically, I bought them in 2021 when I started following your channel. They are good looking, but not recognized by most collectors outside NZ.
I was never discouraged, every time the government gave me currency I swapped it out for another sovereign.
I know my grandchildren will have to pay the price, so the Sovereigns will compensate them.
Sometimes I feel like a lot of boomers just don't care and are complacent.They got their's.High school in the 50', greatest decade. Bought homes cheap. Good jobs everywhere. @@ronaldmiller3619 I don't think anywhere is that safe now. The Pacific was a walk in the park for the Japanese back in WW2. Economically we are always a little slower to sink, but it does take us a lot longer to recover. My picks would be both parts of South America and Africa.

Dont think of it valued in £...that is the wrong thinking...its the weight that is more important...£ is being devalued by inflation, gold/silver will retain its fundamental value.

The pound wont disappear,itll just become worthless.Whereas the intrinsic value of gold will become more valuable as a store of value as £ depreciates.Thats why as price of fiat money goes lower the price of gold goes higher

So I bought CFDs thinking it was relatively safe if you're cautious - as I am. -Bought in at around the prices they are now. However - I was squeezed out because it doesn't let you keep losses more than 50%. It's very frustrating because the loss was very short lived and it gobbled up my money.
The only way is physical gold and silver. Still heartbroken. Expensive lesson.

Gold has gone up over 30% just this year...ur bank gives u a measly 2% and that doesnt even cover the inflation value lost.
Think of it like this...gold hasn't gone up, its the value lost by the £ being depreciated.
Also that money in your bank isnt now yours..it belongs to the bank and ur now a creditor.If/when they go bust u will get next to nothing. The fscs cannot cover everyones money when they do shutdown and ur the last on the list to get anything !

You also pay capital gains tax.
You have to store it.

All analysts have put the quantity of gold held by China as 30,000 tons and more. The Shanghai gold exchange offers higher prices for both gold and silver. Why?
