Eloise can be justly angry about the Whistledown part of things. But the fact that she never EVER really spoke with Pen about HER, or anything about her interests, or what she wants, and was too blind to ever see how she felt about Colin in all these years says waaaayyyy more about how self involved Eloise is.
Exactly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I can enjoy Eloise as a comedy relief but her actual character is a pretty annoying. She has never been a truly good friend to Pen, she used Pen as her audience and never ever payed truly attention to her. And no, Pen is not perfect, she’s done some shitty things but Eloise is not innocent in this story.
I'm gonna be very honest, I love Eloise and Penelope and their friendship. Their scenes are some of my most favorite. My favorite character is Eloise and this is true about her to some extent but Colin saying "from that day on, Penelope this--Penelope that" would mean that Eloise also talks about Penelope a lot and likes to spend time with her too. I don't know how she did not notice Pen having a crush on Colin or her being Whistledown but i really find their friendship wholesome and adorable even though both have their flaws
Their sex scenes are so deliberate and considered. Both Daphne/Simon and Anthony/Kate had these moments of passion without thinking, but Colin is always asking for consent, always checking in with Penelope. They didn't get carried away, they made decisions as equals.
Im sorry but im a huge history girl and in these times the mother were like pens mom i feel like the hate is a bit much and she definitely cares about her kids if she didn’t she would have abandoned them last season
@@kaleiastothart5291 True. We still have so many mothers like that in the world that's just not a girl's girl. They are always hard on their daughters & treat sons like God's gift or something in their upbringing. Fortunately some of them are slowly learning considering the chances they are given, the society & the current barren economic or education state they're in.
Again, love how Colin already has a home picked out! He has been WAITING to become a husband, longing to be married! A lot of reactors had the some comment about that sex scene--it felt SO intimate and real, it makes us feel like voyeurs! Contrary to popular belief, plenty of extramarital sex was going in in the Regency. That is why they insisted on CHAPERONES everywhere! And in fact it was no big deal if an engaged couple didn't wait until the wedding night. In fact that is how a fair number of couples ended up engaged, by getting caught! Five thousand pounds then was in the vicinity of $800,000 in today's money. Well, in the books (so I understand) Hyacinth ends up marrying her brother Gregory's best friend. Make of that what you will.
Love the information, I will ask to refrain from any books spoiler if you don't mind. Appreciate you watching! Can't wait for the next season to come out! - Cam
The fact that none of them were comfortable watching the sex scene together is hilarious to me 😂😂😂
I felt so UNPREPARED watching the mirror scene with these guys! My ears were getting warm and I had to pause SO MUCH. 😆
hahahaha Yeah!! 😆😂 I just can't get over her MINUTES of literally being Jaw-DROPPED🤣❤

Of all the episodes Mandy hadn’t watched beforehand, it was the one with the mirror scene 😳🫣😂

THE scene is only making us uncomfortable mostly when we are watching it together with others.😊
I love this season so much! Polin is the best! This second half of the season is so good.

Especially since we don’t know about her upbringing she might not know how to be a caring mother because maybe her mom was like that 😂

Mandy is adorable! I knew she would feel awkward watching that scene with you guys😁
