I want to take in this English Bulldog but everyone keeps telling me how hard and expensive it is to care for one, it made me discouraged so I looked up videos. Just watched your video on how to clean English bulldogs wrinkles tips and tricks. I realized this video was 4 years ago but you mentioned that you use the lavender essential oils when you fly. As recently as last year I was told that English bulldogs, French bulldogs Shar pei, Chinese pugs all dogs with the short trachea that can have breathing problems are on the "No Fly" list. Because even if they're sedated it could kill them.
I'm just wondering if you still fly with your dog today? And if so, what airline do you use and do you pay for an extra seat for him or her and how exactly do you do it?
We have driven from Dallas /Fort Worth to Las Vegas more than once with our dog.
We plan on driving to Biloxi Mississippi in a few more months also. I don't mind driving, I'm a retired truck driver but it would be nice to be able to just fly and rent a car. The round trip to Las Vegas takes 4 days out of our 10 day vacation.

I try and clean my boys face at least 3 times a day . I just use a dry towel most of the time. I only use coconut oil or apple cider vinegar if needed

Hi, would you recommend starting to clean their wrinkles, ears and etc as a puppy?
Absolutely, Doing this early could Help them get used to these cleanings as they grow. I would just be extra gentle and use natural products for their sensitive skin

Hello, you know that's a really tough one because they're all different with their personalities. None of mine like it either some are more tolerant than others. I guess the only thing I would say is just praise them with treats in love Before & After and maybe over time will get better With it. Great question and let me know if you find anything helpful with this I would love to know.

what do you use to remove the tear stains like any paste or balms that you use besides cleaning off any bacteria with a baby wipe ?

You can use lots of things corn flour and milk of magnesia is good with a little bit of peroxide mix into a paste careful around the eyes, if you have a problem with tear stains put a little bit of apple cider vinegar in the drinking water every couple of days this will help.
Do you recommend wrinkle balm as a part of their everyday wrinkle and coat care? I was also thinking of using a nose cream as well to prevent a cracking nose.

What is good for a dry nose? He's 3 months old but not constantly dryy
We love our bulldog, even though he's started this habit of whining/waking me up every morning.When he's up, usually 7ish, he's ready to eat.He emits these sad ,stretched out whines that taper off.Some are short and turn into growls ,then back to the long whine.Not too loud though, just faint enough to wake you.When I finally get up and walk over to his bed, he magically stops, and his butt starts wiggling.Making it impossible for me to be upset.

Those are baby wipes you'd use on human babies right ? Since our skin is different to dogs couldn't that sting or burn the dog's skin ? Especially if you wipe the dogs eyes with them ?
Yes. The kind you buy for babies. I buy the gentle formula made for sensitive skin for this reason. You never put it on the dog's actual eye, but to wipe around the eye and folds it doesnt hurt but does need to be dried. Thats awesome your thinking and being aware of their sensitivity ❤

Hello, yes we use baby wipes as well for the pause it's a great way to clean them, Is also a lot less expensive than some other products

Honestly, I just use baby wipes and maybe a q-tip if I really have to. Babywipes save lives I sware lol they are clean, cost-effective and work great! If they are super wet babywipes be sure to dry with a paper towel so the moisture doesnt get trapped inside since their ears are more floppy. =)

More cost-effective would be to use a designated natural cotton washcloth. Let's avoid single-use items.

It really just depends on how active your dog is and it's genetics so not necessarily everyday just when needed some more than others

good info, but most of the "handling" that needs to happen with Bulldogs needs to start when they are puppies. I recently rescued an unwanted six yr old neutered male. He has an awful cherry eye, ear infection, and has patches of his coat balding. He will not let me do anything, he is way overweight and I feel like I am trying to bulldog a calf in a rodeo. So, I took him to a groomer and vet and oddly he let them do whatever. I guess if I am going to keep him that is the only way he grooming issues are going to be addressed and that is going to get expensive. I feel sorry for him as he is on his third home and I don't care what kind of breed they are, that is a tough rode for them. I will do my best to see he gets to live out the remainder of his days in a safe and caring environment. I am already changing his diet from terrible kibble to a cooked diet of real meats and some veggies as we work toward an even healthier overall diet.

What's with all these weird colours of bulldogs now . i mean ,they are not really authorised purebred are they can't be . the colours are just NOT right . there must be other breeds mixed in to get those colours surely . if i am wrong ,i will apologize ,but can somebody EXPLAIN how all these strange colours happen . e.g. blue,merle ,Rottweiller eyebrows ,black and white etc.having said that ,I must say the girl on display is a beautiful looking dog.
Hello, Great question! I'm not sure why you think they're "weird" colors, To each their own. To be really Frank, genetic testing does not lie.All does are linked back to wildial dogs with all kinds of colors and When genetic testing comes back, that their 100% pure English bulldog... they are bulldogs for sure👍 English bulldogs are completely man made dog to begin with (Diff dogs bred to create the bulldog)and this was done a long time ago,so long ago that not they are considered purebred now,worldwide. A lot of these colors come from a recessive gene that now is being bred for their beauty and used to be viewed a ugly, Color really doesn't matter to me and our program because all we're concerned about Is that there healthy and happy. Really what else should we care about.Good question,thank you.
The colours mostly come from having olde English bulldogs bred into them at some point along the lines, in the UK the new colours are not recognised by the Kennel club, the beautiful English bulldog in the video looks like a chocolate Tri, so not what we would call a pure bred, I like the new colours apart from Merle as this colour carries lots of faults.
Don't forget to clean under their nose fold/flap bad place for dirt and oil
