I appreciate the amount of knowledge and research you show in your vídeos and your very soft pace of speaking, which is very good for non-native speakers of english to understand.

Your videos are amazing and give the most condensed well reasoned opinions. I like that you also talk about whos winning and not just nominations. For some reason i can also see the surge of Guy Pearce. Thanks for the video.

Looking forward to seeing “The Brutalist.” I love Brody’s acting and the trailers look enticing.

There are 2 superb actresses this year, both foreigners, Karla Sofia Gascón and Fernanda Torres. The other ones are good, just that, but they are Americans or from Anglo-world, which means one of them will win.

i dont understand why people keep underestimating Hugh Grant's chances of getting in. He got CC and GG., I think he has a better narrative than Danial Craig. Its a performance thats cast against type, and he is wayyyyyy overdue for a nom. More so than DC. And this would be a year to give him his nom, because the field is so weak.

The only movie I've seen amongst this collection (so far) is "Maria" and I found it and Angelina's performance uninspiring.
Looking forward to seeing "The Brutalist" per both subject matter And Brody.

How is it uninspiring when she did her own singing? They mixed her voice with Maria Callas’ in post production but she did her own live singing while filming those scenes and she did 7 months of training to learn how to sing opera. It would be a similar win to Marion Cotillard in La Vie En Rose.

My predictions are the same, except I think Kieran Culkin will win Supporting Actor.

I'm sorry, but the Academy should stop giving Best Picture to 3 and a half boring movies 😒

It's interesting to note that during "Wicked-mania", Grande was winning most of the critic awards and was one of the only people who wasn't missing nominations across categories. She also had a sizable lead against the other nominees for wins. Now that the mania is dying down, Saldana (who's in a movie that critics generally don't like) has almost caught up to Grande's win total while Grande has started to miss nominations too.
I still think Gomez has a very slim chance of getting into supporting. I can see her getting into SAG. I sadly don't think Deadwyler and Ellis-Taylor make BAFTA and because I think 'Emilia Perez' will over-perform at BAFTA and the Oscars, that'll leave a slot open for Gomez. She'll therefore get GG, SAG, and BAFTA + be in a popular film going into the Oscars.
Finally, this is hope-dicting but I also see a very small window for 'Challengers' to get into Picture. It did well with shortlists. Right now it's got a shot at Screenplay, Editing, Score, and Original Song. It's done well at the precursor critic and guild awards in those categories so far. The only issue is that it's probably number 4-6 for all 4 categories. It's not impossible for it to get all 4 and in that case, it would be strange for it to miss Picture.

Angelina Jolie basically not winning anywhere and yet she is in your top 5🤨

Critics groups and industry awards are completely different groups. Jolie won SAG, Globe and Oscar without critics awards for Girl Interrupted. So the people voting for the Oscars aren’t the same people in the critics groups.

She’s nominated for a Golden Globe and Critics Choice, so there’s a good chance she’ll be nominated for an Oscar. She probably won’t win, but she is being nominated by other groups.

ANORA is the worst in all nominations. This movie is so mediocre. I would never nominate this movie. MM - Come on...Screaming all way long is not acting. Demi Moore is the one who deserves it.
