JP sounding maybe a little more relaxed than in the Drew ofthe Drew days, still wickedly precise and sophisticated just with maybe a little less to prove. What a joy to listen to. Fantastic work from the rest of the band too.
I'm absolutely floored by how distinct and realized each of your voices have become. Jonna's sweet, velvety tones blow in with a breeze of vocal freedom, every line carrying a sublte emotional overflow that draws you in to her inner life.
Asher's devilishly clever harmony and rhythm are impeccable, with every note, even when they come too quickly to catch individually, merging into an incredible feeling is delivered with clear intention.
JP's drumming is so free and unique that he had to form a school around his gifted understanding of the drum set, which, understandably, becomes more sought after every day. Even with all the deep study or rhythmic vocabulary you sound like someone who just discovered that he can absolutely bring the house down with your feel and your vicious chops.
And then there's Jed, who lets it rip with humble mastery, lifting the whole situation through his solid anchoring. For anyone reading this who doesn’t yet understand why everyone loves Jed so much, spend the next few songs listening carefully to what he's doing. My dude's an absolute king and a very good boy.
