Beautiful. The original Harry James version just can't match modern recordings, as the beautiful tone that is the essence of a trumpet has been lost to poor technology. Sauro's version soars! But next time, get a less "scratchy" sounding percussion.

Sauro's versatility with a variety of music is amazing & unchalenged by the leading trumpet performers. This musical episode hit the blue skies & the glittering stars were mesmerised. Leading trumpeters of the calibre of the Dorsey Brothers, Ray Anthony, & Bobby Hackett, are in the supreme musical league. However, in my opinion, Sauro Bargellini should be amongst the top three in this super musical league. Sauro Bargellini is the most underrated musician & that is a Sherlock Holmes mystery & of course its not justified, & should be solved. Ray Anthony's version of this ballad lacked the high quality & true interpretation of Sauro Bagellini's performance. Harry James's 1970 performance with this ballad, failed to match Bagellini's crystal clear & silky smooth talking golden trumpet. Golden descriptive words by Peter E. Farrar.

HAHAHAHAHA! Get outta town! Harry James' rendition is still the Gold Standard.
Sauro does a fine job here, but King James still rules.
