We had been battling uphill for the entire run, alerted multiple scouts in overload, dealt with the fog turbine not working, having to run back through Overload due to us forgetting a bulkhead key, and then again when we wanted to open the bonus room. We had suffered numerous downs to the giant chargers in the error alarm section. We were scrambling through the Warden door at the very end, running our magazines dry of all ammunition, our tools had emptied long before. As I bravely left the room to attempt to kite, a giant striker took me down and I could only watch in peril as the endless enemies moved swiftly upon my allies; it looked as if the expedition would end in failure. In a last ditch effort, the remaining three huddled into the extraction scan, desperately using each other as shielding. And then it ended. Not with cries for help, or in pain, but with this glorious sound track. The pure ecstasy was thrilling, there had been moments like this is gaming before sure, but none could come close to this.
