    Thank you Trent! Loved to learn how to use this feature! I have 280 hours working on my comm single, but it’s all on paper. From now on I will start adding slowly all my hours from my paper log book to ForeFlight and use paper to back ForeFlight and ForeFlight as a back up of my paper log

    Thanks for this. If you create logbook entries from track logs, changing settings -> total time calculation to block time is really useful. Logging time begins when aircraft first moves and end when it stops.

    Hey, thanks for the video. To answer your question. It’s available on the Pro plus subscription so you have pro plus or higher. You’ll be able to get it. Basic doesn’t have that. I think

    Trent - great tips as always. As a student pilot, I recently added all my paper log entries to ForeFlight and what a massive difference in terms of tracking. I learned an additional tip from Brian Schiff for PPL students. Make a custom logbook field for XC >50 miles. I would only use this for tracking flight time that contributes to the solo XC requirement. As you know, not all XC apples to the requirement at this level. One more way ForeFlight makes things easy. Thanks again and keep the great aviation info coming!

    If I have done paper copy for over a 1000 hrs already then is there a clean way to start using the ForeFlight logbook feature?

    • @trent_dyrsmid
      @trent_dyrsmid  6 дней назад +1

      @@ebechara5 I’m foreFlight does have a spreadsheet on their website that you can use to do a bulk import. If I was you, I definitely would not do all of the entries for the thousand hours, but you might want to consider doing every entry from a certain date forward.

    • @emesny
      @emesny 6 дней назад +2

      You might also consider doing entries with the total hours for each type of aircraft. That will make your experience report, 8710s, etc more useful.
