Yep, this saved me buying one of those vent tab replacement things for like £14. Just need a pick/ hook and some patience as it's mega fiddly. Terrible flimsy design by BMW, but then the whole E70 interior isn't great. Never had a car that creaks and rattles as much inside. My E30 was like a vault - carved from pure stone, my E36's pretty solid, my E91 equally good and my wife's E82 is utterly rock solid too. Not a peep.
@@ErolEskinazi If only I'd have found this vid earlier before trying to take the rear vent out of the car! Turns out you have to practically dismantle the whole centre console to do that..... :( Still, I took the opportunity to remove the old car phone mount out from within the cubby box whilst I had it apart :)
