- A walk tour in Cliffside Park, NJ from Palisade Ave near the intersection of Laird Ave to Esplanade Pl then to Memorial Park at the intersection of Gorge Rd and Palisade Ave around the center of the town. Great video walking tour of the area. That town is much better than Jersey City is but I would still rather live in Monroe Township-Middlesex County, New Jersey, which is a quiet, quaint, clean, classy and 95% safer suburban-bedroom community to live in. The town has a population of about 3,000 residents. The town pulls in the sidewalks every night at 10 PM even on Friday & Saturday nights. The town becomes a ghost town after 12 Midnight. I moved to Monroe Township in 1995, and I have been happier ever since re-locating to Monroe Township from Jersey City, NJ. This town is also less congested than Cliffside Park & Jersey City. Also, the sounds of police sirens or any other emergency vehicles are hardly heard as opposed to JC & CP.
