The maps are not flipped. Only upside down view and reverse gravity. A big thanks to YaLTeR for modding the physical ability to walk and jump in the ceiling.

Since the view is upside down a few physics behave like I'm upside down or reversed. That's why I'm clumsy on ladders and doors open against me.
The "drop" down to the .357 Magnum is too high to reach with a 99dmg boost. Making it the first impossible obstacle. Everything was made with default server settings except the testchamber sample boost that used 100aa to curve into another slope. Which I still believe is possible on default settings.

This just turned a shooter into the world's most insane platformer. It's cool how some of the levels are almost meant to be played that way by jumping onto light fixtures and stuff.
There needs to be "Olympic Half-Life Playing".
Researching negative mass must be easy if you've got negative mass yourself.

Would probably take too long, i bet many stunts here take plenty of attempts. Heck, i'd be impressed if he can actually complete the game. But quadra (and the HL21 team in general) have surprised me before
Edit: he already claimed in the description that this is ends at the first "impossible" scenario, so he might twinker around with console commands for those parts.
Doctor Corn It's unfortunately impossible. Especially due to the outside maps later in the game. At least from what quad told me.
I imagined as much, but thought he, or someone else, might do some map editing as a last resort to turn the impossible ones into just a huge (possible) challenge.
That's pretty unlikely and probably a waste of time, but the idea sounds cool, great video anyways even if he didn't continue the series.

Why Half-Life is revolutionary game you may ask? I say - because it's content offers endless posibilites for gameplay researching. In all ways. In any direction of applying. Can you tell me Valve planned maps geometry so good that they knew one day HL is going to be played upside-down? I won't believe you. Look at this, it's as if everything was planned and tested YEARS before releasing the actuall game. And that run is not the only example. Even to this days we still discover new planes and edges of that "func_halflife" brush. Who knows how many are there yet to be discovered. Maps, sprites, sounds, models, source code, console commands. This is the definition of an interactive game that is full of bugs, yet doesn't crash no matter what.
Very impressive stuff. Creative use of all the tiny light fixtures and other details hanging around just to make it completable.

i think there are some modifications added because of some impossible paths.
for example, the box at 28:08 . there was no box there, the first time he went there. now there was.
