RIP Bailey Stortz🦚🎥 Bailey Stortz Obituary STORTZ Bailey T., age 65 of Tenafly on February 10, 2009. Beloved son of the late A. Wayne and Marguerite (nee Fitzmaurice). Dear brother of Elizabeth Gunther and her husband Milton. Loving uncle of Lisa Hanner, Christine Butler and Laura Collins. Also survived by nine grand nieces and nephews. Bailey was a cameraman for NBC notably for David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Saturday Night Live.
@BillMurrayt-tn3wm if this is really bill Murray than I just want to say what about bob is probably my favorite of your movies…also razors edge is good too. They’re all good 👍 god bless brother!
Lol.. I was thinking the same thing .. this clip must be really old …Sideburns and Elvis hair were making there come back in the 90s when 90210 hit the airwaves .. even I had them 😊 🕺
Bailey was a camera crane grip on SNL. After that, he was a cameraman on the Letterman show (occasionally appearing on camera), and Conan inherited him and some other members of the Letterman crew.
@@coreybangs He’s been known for abusive behavior on the set, though. Definitely bi-polar. He can be sour and depressive and the next minute charming and affable. The thing is that when he’s bad he tends to stay home and when he’s cheerful he goes out. But back in the day when he was a big star working a lot he had no choice but to go to work when he was miserable and rather than deal with it through medication and therapy he just took it out on people in often cruel ways, especially costars and friends because he didn’t like to bully his fans, which is good, but just because he viewed his colleagues as “equals” doesn’t mean they deserved to be treated like garbage and he didn’t understand that. I hear he’s doing better now.
@@wellesradio thank you very much for taking the time to explain. I love Bill Murray, and want to be honest about him. ♥️ I appreciate wanting an accurate representation of him as I do. I was not aware of his bad side, we all have one.
@@wellesradio You're totally right on that being what bipolar is like. I prefer to stay inside, I hate that part of me ever coming out around people, but I do treat it with medicine and therapy as well, so it isn't so bad.
This man is HILARIOUS! It doesn’t even need to be a SKIT…..just talking with him casually is a friggin HOOT! Just his mannerisms and laid-back attitude and a TAKE CHARGE of the situation which results in huge LAUGHTER! Stripes, Groundhogs Day, What About Bob?, etc….. . I hear he is quite hard to deal with and maybe a NARCISSIST personality but that is all on him. To just meet him and say, “hello” and be on my way would be cool😎
Not trying to burst your bubble, but that entire thing was a bit. Probably arranged ahead of time with Bailey. It doesn't make it less funny--in fact, preparation helps make it funny.
@@kevinwattswork6526 I don't know if it was pre-arranged be he definitely knew Bailey personally. Conan at least seemed to be unaware this was going to happen. He's doing that thing where he clutches his stomach and he says he only does that when he thinks something is truly funny.
@@orlagh277 oh ok so I considered myself a pretty hardcore fan of conan but when he went on hot ones he mentioned an old-timer cameraman named "Bailey" who was with Letterman long before Conan took over late night in '93, and how they had to put him through their get-up-and-go skits and shenanigans: ruclips.net/video/FALlhXl6CmA/видео.html
I get the hype. He was in several very good movies in the 80s and 90s. I really like his humor and acting. But people just have different tastes. Many people can't stand Jim Carrey, but still he was one of the biggest stars of the 90s.
Love Bill Murray……can’t stand Jim Carrey. There is a presence about Bill that just draws you in and I could easily be around him all day. Nothing but FUN! 🩷Love you, Bill💙
I think Bill Murray was the first guy to do lo-fi comedy before they had a name for it; it's as though he's amusing himself firstly... and if you want to come along for the ride, well that's just fine.

RIP Bailey!
I was the 100th like for this legend !
I didn't like that he slapped him .. very very bad joke on expense on someone else, EVEN if he agreed to do it .. low class
@@operacarmen
You missed the point of the whole joke. Watch closely Bill's hand. That was a theatrical slap, and didn't hurt Bailey at all.

@@gooneybird808 You're talking to Anthony Kiedis.
Bailey was a friend of Bill's from SNL
Bill Murray had this timing that I think no one else had on talk shows.
That time when Conan had sideburns
Conan had sideburns for like a solid 5-6 years in the 2010s.
I was so distracted by them! Especially the flared ends like Lemmy Kilmister!😂
Not distracted at all! Conan looks very handsome here🌸

Bill Murray is the greatest comic. He doesn't even need to speak. Just smile. And remember all his characters.
Bill Murray is a national treasure.
i wonder if he actually does remember bailey the camera guy from working on snl. that would be so damn wholesome if true lol.
I think it is probably true. Bill Murray, as I understand it, is the most authentically loving person ever and pretty funny too. ♥
