Thank you so much.I think it would be better if you accompanied the audio with pictures and an explanation of new vocab at the end as you used to do before. Thanks again
In the past here in my city there were no pools, but there were excellent sand rivers better than any pools! However, nowadays the rivers are all (or almost all) silted and/or polluted and the pleasant summer heat has become the infernal heat of global warming. I would love to enjoy England's yummy chill!
I Live in Brasil 🇧🇷 and your podcast help-me much with my english, fluency is dificult to me Day by Day speaking portuguese but with your podcast is easy dont forget What i know
Thanks for explaining the words nd for ur podcast I ask u kindly If you could always explain the most difficult words in every podcast as I ve listened to some others and the difficult words were not explained I know we have ro seek for them but If you could explain every like in this podcast thanks much
Perfect lessons. I would like the former part of the lesson be a kind of a talk and the latter an explanation on the vocabulary. But a whole talk is ok too. Thank you so much, Anna. You're excellent.
All the public swimming pools I've used in England (3) were quite filthy compered with the France and Italian ones, I suppose everyone relies on the big amount of clorine they are treated with, I did😅 BDW, lido(italian word, e.i.: Lido di Venezia) means shore" or "bank." (The Italian root derives from litus, the Latin word for "shore.")
I would say it varies a huge amount (the quality and cleanliness). Public pools are funded by the government and had endless cuts so many are being closed down. This means more people in fewer pools, poorly maintained and left to degrade over time. :( The best thing to do is go to a member's club pool or a nice hotel with a pool. :)
I had same problem with crawl. Thats why I hate swimming and dont swimm at all. I didnt paniced, but I was infuriated because when I lifted my head to take breathe, there was water instead of air. ;P
Interestingly I have never heard anyone pronounce it that way. Cambridge dictionary lists both my pronunciation and yours: dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/lido

The cap is not mandatory in the pool in England?
No it isn't. Is it in your country?
@@EnglishLikeANative yes, in many public pool it's mandatory to avoid hairs in the water.

In British English 'Wrath' is pronounced "rɒθ".
Another word difficult to pronounce like 'widths' is 'sixths'.

Hello
No Anna people can pee in the swimming pool
"Lido" is pronounced "liːdoʊ", @EnglishLikeANative.
