Amazing experience walking up 260 steps to get to the top of Cape Palliser
Cape Palliser Lighthouse is located on the south eastern side of the Wairarapa coast, a couple of hours drive from Wellington City.
Accordingly, "This, the most southerly part of the North Island's coast, can be a wild and desolate area in winter. But the lighthouse and seal colony at Cape Palliser are well worth seeing, as are the eerie rock formations in Putangirua Pinnacles Scenic Reserve."
