This was a treat to watch. This is the type of gymnastics I like. I also liked seeing some of them smile when they stuck their landings and then afterwards.
Not only were their routines unique and refreshing, it was lovely to their camaraderie. It also seemed like several of them didn’t have enough time to get acclimated to this particular floor.
Elvire teza is arguably the greatest gymnast who’s never won a European, world or Olympic medal. But Her contributions to gymnastics is beyond that. She was super innovative and did skills that no else has ever achieved since. What made this floor routine brilliant was her eye contact. Brava! What a legacy.
I love her choreo on floor but her difficulty in tumbling is what is lacking and is what did not allow her to medal ever on floor. Her bars and beam were much more difficult and in line with what the top girls were doing at the time. I know she made event finals on both those events at worlds. On the part of greatest gymnast who never won a world or olympic medal I would throw Stella Umeh into that as well. She had HIGH difficulty especially on Beam and Floor and was always underscored in my opinion with far and away better dance than almost anyone at the time.
a magnificent rotation on floor for FRAN , and it's a pity BEGUE injuried before leaving ( and her spot was given to Trompscott), the golden years of France gymnastics
These routines are so beautifully choreographed! So artistic and interesting. I really miss the style of gymnastics from this era😢 Edit: Severino’s triple full is amazing 🤩
@@alyraismanisqueen4576 ok I thought so! There are quite a few from this era that are coaches now, it’s really neat. I know Svetlana does a lot particularly with the junior team, several Romanians coach- including in the US, the list goes on. Experience teaching for certain!
And I love how she coaches. Bela and Marta would immediately tell the gymnasts what they did wring the second they were done. Cecile gives them a genuine hug.
A classic case of let's laugh instead of allow the tears to ruin the moment! The French were massacred on floor! Gymnasts like Americans Kerri Strug and Dominique Moceanu were prancing around like novice cheerleaders and getting 9.8s, while the festive, flamboyant and original French gymnasts like Elvire Teza, Isabelle Severino and Ludivine Furnon were getting 9.587, 9.687 and 9.650!? Criminal! Highway robbery! Also, why did those judges with outdated, disheveled church lady hairdos look like they were taking college exams when they were scoring these wonderful gymnasts? It's not rocket science...unless you have to think about not disappointing the loud home crowd and NBC, by allowing more deserving gymnasts into event finals!
It’s true. At the same time there were no American judges on the panel. But I always say about 90’s French, Canadian and British teams, if that was a Russian team member they would be in 9.8’s 😅🤦🏻♂️

I love Team France and Netherlands Women's Gymnastics shows why I think they are wonderful, even their national anthems.
Teza's choreography is so beautiful!!! And Ludivine Furnon had so much spunk and power!
The best french team i ever seen..

These choreos are so creative and the gymnasts are expressive! Elvire's floor is my fav!
I’ve waited 27 years for this. Thank you.

She never won a medal? I never knew that! Too bad as she was such a uniquely creative gymnast!
@@saragrant9749 Oddly enough she does have an American Cup title to her credit!

She has Jr Euros UB gold and BB silver.
The choreography in these routines flows. It tells a story. What gymnasts do now is a lot of isolated movements just to fulfill the requirements.
That’s what Biles and the rest of USA do - just movements to fulfill the requirements and throw in difficult tumbling, that is all and nothing more.

I was thinking the same thing and I’m so sad about Elodie lussac, she was the katelyn ohashi of the 90’s
@@glaznflip1501 yes very sad what happened to her
What happened, injury?
Thankfully France has been back on the rise today, with folk like dos Santos and others bringing that country back into force.
@@saragrant9749 I think she injuried sin april 96 as she missed both world and euros
Truly unique and elegant, especially Teza.
Absolutely beautiful, captivating and original floor routines. Totally under scored
I have never seen this! thank u
These routines are so beautifully choreographed! So artistic and interesting.
I really miss the style of gymnastics from this era😢

thank you....from the choreographer ...ADI...
What a great floor rotation for France! 🇫🇷 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷😁👍🏽
the fact that simone biles/maddie kocain/ jordan chiles coach is cecile just blows my mind
Cecile as in one of the athletes here?
@@saragrant9749 yes:)

And Melanie DJDS, too!
Who was the choreographer this quad for France? All of the girls really danced! Unfair score for Furnon!
I'm not sure if Furnon had a 10.0 start value. She basically repeated two passes (2nd and 4th) so I'm not sure if she got credit for the last pass.
Most likely Adriana Pop
Where do you get these videos from? I’d love to see footage of the mixed groups from Atlanta
Can you PLEASE upload Tezas 2000 Sydney floor??
Wow, thank you so much!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ludivine floor routine among the greatest. Absolutely perfect artistry.
Wow first 5 gymnast didn’t perform a double somersault.
Most of the gymnasts doing twists, only Furnon doing doubles.

5th girls is Simone Biles’ coach now!
So Simone refused to take her advice on dance, chorography and artistry - lol?
Volle had the best choreography. So sharp and precise. Not a fan of this Furnon routine. It seems junior-ish. Prefer her 1995 masterpiece.
✨🤗☃️😋🐫😁🐬😀🦕😜🐼😊🦭✨
Worst Olympics ever as far as audience behaviour is concerned.
How so?
Elvire Teza had the biggest applause of any gymnast that wasn’t American. Haha
