I know a friend of mine who just got their first Apple Watch for their 19th birthday at the end of July, less than 2 months before the Series 9 got unveiled. This of course is worse than you not only because her birthday is that soon before the new watches/phones get unveiled, but also because she had just gotten her first Apple Watch and would’ve gotten used to watchOS 9 only to have to do it again after watchOS 10 came out not even 2 months later. I myself though have had one for almost 4 years, since Christmas of 2019.
What size did you get? I’m waiting on mine to arrive it’s on back order because they ran out of stock and waiting for more to come in hopefully soon I will get mine I got the pink series 9 in pink with the sport loop I can’t wait I’m so excited
