Tray 2 is grabbing either 1 sheet if on,y one in tray) or all sheets at one time quickly and then jamming in printer. Printer is only 4 weeks old and has not been used yet. I need your help. I set both trays to letter but not sure how to do settings to assign tray. Very frustrating and not sure what tray 2 is doing. Can’t seem to get tray to lock out for letter size paper when pushing back into printer slot. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Hi. I apologize for late reply. The issue may not be the settings if your tray is set to correct size and all paper is laying flat in the tray. There is a separator pad or rails either in the tray or at the end of the tray area(kind of what the back of the tray sits against) if separator pad, make sure it is clean and correctly seated. If the separator rails are missing or out of place, the issue you are describing is what will happen. The separator rails are ridged plastic pieces usually on the back wall of tray. They look like a steep set stairs.
Hi. It may be a few things, first try removing ink cartridges and see if error goes away. Then install one cartridge and close printer. If error doesn't appear continue to install another cartridge. Do that with each until an error pops. The one that triggers the error, is a bad cartridge and needs to be replaced. Another thing can be a dirty timing film.
If I had not found this video I would never have figured out how to get the back open to get a paper jam out. Thank you!
