Hongdae is one of my favorite areas of Seoul. We stayed at an Airbnb there for 5 days and still didn't see half of it. Great shops, lots of activity, and a ton of places to eat. One of the must see districts when you visit Seoul

Another lovely nighttime walk through bustling Hongdae. So many people out and about - some shopping , some sightseeing and just maybe window shopping. In the UK all shops have to close at 4pm so this just wouldn’t happen . At one time no shops were allowed to be open on a Sunday but times have changed. Thank you Nathan for this picture of Hongdae.
