A fine tribute. RIP Alexi. This song is great because it has a lot of harshness but also melody.

      Thanks :)
I love that about his playing. He mixed so many different styles together and came out with something truly unique.

Mine is an Edwards (the Japanese line) and it's the best thing I've ever bought. I can highly recommend them; the neck is perfect! The ESP should be even better - pricey though!

DUDE! These Edwards are hidden gems! I have the Pink model. The difference between Edwards and ESP, Edwards wood is cut by machine, factory production style. Like LTD, and e2. ESP everything is pretty much built by hand. With that being said, spec wise, the main difference is the Floyd. Edwards have 1000 series Korean made. While e2 and ESP have original German made. LTD also has 1000 series. Unless you get the low end 200 model. That has a crappy Floyd special. Considering ESP models are around $6,000 right now. And the LTD is around $1,600. The Edwards is averaging at around $1,400. Can not beat that! The top 5 scalloped frets, and boost switch, are my favorite features. And 1000 series Floyd is pretty much almost as good as German original. The 1000 series will wear out. While German made are supposed to last pretty much a lifetime. While ESP will obviously have more detailed craftsmanship. You have to realize, this is an electric guitar. At the end of the day, the sound is mostly coming from the electric components. Craftsmanship is not as significant as for acoustic, or brass instruments. Because we are mostly relying on pickups, bridge systems, and amps, for over all sound/tone. Now if the ESP custom shops were like $2,500 compared to the $1,400 Edwards. Then I would defiantly say that is fair. But $6,000?! GET OUT!

I got mine second hand from Japan and it's the best thing I've ever bought. Mine doesn't have the boost, so the pickup sounded a bit weak and I changed it for a Blackout. My favourite thing on it is the neck - feels great to play!
I picked up an LTD EC-1000 because I wanted a neck that felt the same. It's also a great guitar but the neck isn't as smooth as the Edwards.
I'd love to have an ESP too but no way I can justify spending that much!

@@AleksiBennettGuitar My pink one came with a blackout. And has the boost. It’s sick nasty!

      @@9hk38f I can't imagine a boosted Blackout - I sometimes wish they were a little less hot 😅
Might have to check it out though! I'm looking at having a killswitch installed where the volume is and moving the volume back a little.

@@AleksiBennettGuitar I personally don’t recommend modding an Alexi Laiho guitar. Feel like that would ruin the spirit of it. It wouldn’t be an Alexi Laiho custom anymore. Just my thoughts. But a kill switch would be cool. I’ll admit, the boost with the blackout can be a bit much! Think the boost was designed to go with the EMG hz passive.

@@9hk38f I mainly want the volume moved back a bit. I pick with my fingers open and sometimes I hit the volume. A kill switch would be fun and it's low profile to fill fhe hole.
I'd never sell it and it's the one I play most so, I don't mind getting it tweaked a little :)
