dude i'm so glad he posted this. i don't think he knows that outer wilds fans are all constantly looking for new playthroughs to watch
imo this is the best playthrough i've seen anyone do -- i think every single playthrough can be frustrating in places but pointcrow has consistently been really sharp about picking up a lot of the mechanics and solutions that most people seem to struggle with, which is incredibly satisfying to watch. so glad he's continuing
there's a discord server entirely dedicated to finding streams of outer wilds
@@Shymain 100%. I don't want to be rude, but most people just aren't that... smart. And watching people struggle with this game bores me. Seeing someone pick up on stuff as quickly as I did makes this playthrough 10000x more enjoyable.
@@Charcoal190 There is? Do you have the link for that? I'd love to join
@@coldes97 RUclips will probably nuke my comment if I leave a link, so the invite ID is "Y9CNsDjYpU"
I find it really funny how he called every single location on brittle hollow last stream the southern observatory, and the first thing he does when he gets to the observatory is call it the tower of quantum knowledge
I swear he does it on purpose
I found it funny when he found out the anglerfish were blind and he was like "oooooooh, so the solution is to turn off your headlights!" 😄 I laughed so hard I cried.
I found it even more comedic simply because he had his ship log's marker currently set to the Tower of Quantum Knowledge.
The biggest mystery he's gonna find out in the end is Giant's Deep isn't Giant's Keep
It’s Jool form KSP
wait a minute GUYS WAIT A MINUTE
He finds out while he’s at Dark bramble around 4 hours into this vod
@@Scybot he finds out around 30 times but forgets 3 seconds later
I'm so glad he's continuing, I genuinely wasn't sure if he would
Same, i suppose i have a little ptsd from when jacksepticeye started a lets play on the game but stopped at three or so episodes
Same, I didn't know who PointCrow was before this but I've been watching his channel, waiting for the next Outer Wilds upload lol
@@gigabit6226 I was also worried when that happened, same for his Layers Of Fear 2 playtrough at the same time. I let go though because he needed his mental health break and probably finished in his own time
Thought he pulled a jackseptic eye on us
I do agree
Thank you SO much for continuing to play and posting the VOD! This game is genuinely one of my favorite things that I’ve ever consumed, and watching you experience it is like playing it for the first time again
Yes, exactly that! We're reliving it vacariously through Crow, lol
3:12:50 I love how common that mistake is. It's so stupid, but more than half the people I've seen play this said the exact same thing.
just scrolled down to make sure this comment is here xD
Isn't it a thing though that blind things can see light? Like how moles find where the surface is?
@@JesseFea Moles are only blind by the human standards. All mole species (that we know of) have fully developed eyes with various levels of eyesight, more than sufficient for their lifestyle
@@JesseFea Sure, blindness isn't always the same for everyone & every creature. There's the "can't see anything clearly but can kinda see some light" type of blind and there's the "literally can't see anything" type of blind, as far as I know.
@@JesseFea your retinas intake light To see, so if you can't see, it sometimes follows that you have no retinas to intake light. additionally, although light is typically associated with warmth, the anglerfish might not be able to detect thermal energy of any kind, so light has no effect on its prey detection

I can't imagine the amount of time it must've taken you to do this so i'd just like to say that I appreciate you and your hard work random internet user.
Thank you. This had so many goddamn pauses.
Once again, reminding people who have not played this game to **play the game first, then watch the VOD after.**
We're not kidding about this. You will not be able to enjoy the game at all if you watch the VOD first. You progress in this game by learning things, regardless of whether you're actually playing it. If you learn everything there is to know, then you'll already be at the end of the game, and so you will be unable to start from the beginning.
Too scared to finish the game myself😔
THANK GOD HE'S CONTINUING THIS
it comes out as a joke
hello fellow xiu xiu fan
@@joaquinbaume1291 ayyy hello
PointCrow trying to talk himself through quantum entanglement gave me so much life.
I'm so glad you kept playing and uploaded the vod. Even if I avoided this game for 50 years, I would still never be able to experience it freshly again; it is just that memorable.
I appreciate that it's not as profitable, but it's so meaningful to all of us who can only experience this game through other people's eyes. One day soon, you will be one of us.
OMG!! YES, THE COVETED OUTER WILDS VIDEO SERIES BACK ONLINE!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH POINTCROW!!!
Spoiler for the video, I must absolutely say... I am vastly impressed by his ability to land the craft on the sun station! Not only that, but he did so while also not using the match velocity feature or from what I could tell the feature of rotating your ship. From the looks of it he let gravity rotate his ship more often than not. That was truly mind blowing. While I have beaten the game, I have yet to even think of attempting this. I might have to now.
The thing about outer wilds, once you beat it the first time, you can never play it through again because then you know everything. That’s why outer wilds players seek out other play throughs like yours, to live vicariously and experience it as if for the first time all over again. And that’s why we really want you to keep uploading these vods!
And just like the previous vods, a message from Grayson Tinker: "Important: Just like I said on the last video, Outer Wilds is a once-in-a-lifetime experience - and the many people who saw the last video agree! *Don't let your experience be ruined by watching this video!* Absolutely play the game before watching this, even if it means putting off this video for a few months."
In my own personal experience, Outer Wilds is still my favorite game that has been the only game I've played to bring me to tears. *If you haven't played Outer Wilds yourself, please do not watch this video and go play it yourself.*
What a god gamer. Landing on the sun station without being able to lock onto anything.
The hottest shot
Him acting like he understands quantum entanglement when he doesn’t
Thank you so much for posting this, please you must finish it the VODS are sooo good! ^^
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played- I hope it is for him too.
Again as said by people previously, outer wilds is a game you CAN ONLY PLAY ONCE. Do Not watch this VOD unless you have played Outer wilds before, Pointcrow is amazing but you should play the game and then come back.
YESSS i'm so glad he isn't dropping this game, it's my absolute favourite game and I love watching him try to piece it all together
I don’t often comment on videos, but I wanted to pitch into the algorithm by liking, commenting, AND subscribing just for more outer wilds. Found you as a RUclipsr from Alpharad and my own love of Zelda.
This game means so much to me and so many of us viewers here too. We love to watch others go through the mystery that the outer wilds provides. Please keep playing this wonderful game and enlighten us with the DLC when you’re done. It’s much better than the dark bramble.
You mentioned on this stream that you were looking for some other people you might want to watch play, I found this game originally via a RUclipsr named Bricky. He has video essays on both the main game and the DLC and a second channel for his play-through.
I’m gonna be binging a lot more of your content on your main channel going forward. Thanks for the good times!
PS, fantastic flying to the sun station. I could never, even with the target lock!
Agreed, adding my comment to the pile.
First episode was constant overshooting when flying towards planets, this episode was master pilot showoff.
The energy at the beginning feels like I watching him back when he first started
"They're blind? OOOOOOOOOOH. I guess the other solution is to turn off your headlights."
"...oh, we can... we can ignore what I just said there."
At least he owned it a few seconds later when chat started roasting him 😄
Congrats on managing the manual Sun Station maneuver! I've watched a lot of people play this game, and I have *never* seen someone successfully land it. What a champ!
6:08 I maniacally laughed in my chair when he mentioned the Uncertainty Principle (for reference thats the name of the song that plays when you're on the quantum moon and its also sort of an overarching theme in the game.)
Finally! Thank you so much for uploading this VOD! ^^
PointCrow after 5 seconds in Dark Bramble: "I hate this place. This place fucking suuuuucks."
You and everyone else with a working fear center in their brain, man.
Please continue this and posting it here, even if you have to wait until after Q4. And nice job getting on the sun!
Spoilers for the vid
I think the sun station was the most emotional moment for me. When I got there (the normal way lol), and learned the sun was dying naturally and not because of the Nomai, my thoughts were "oh my god, there's no way to stop the supernova........ there's no way to save everyone.......... D:: "
Thank you for continuing this, and I hope you like the rest of the game as much as I did ❤
I'm so happy to see this series continuing. I wish I was there when you streamed it, but thank you for posting the VOD.
I know you might be concerned about how popular this game is for your streams, but Outer Wilds has a pretty dedicated fanbase. My son and I, who have both beat the game and DLC (which is also awesome), have been watching these VODs because this is our favorite game, and we miss it. We can't just replay it. Once you know, you know. Knowledge is the only gated element in the game.
So, I watched my son play it after I beat it, and we're watching you play it to try to experience the magic once again. Keep it up, don't forget about the DLC, and don't let business challenges get you down. All of us OW fans are watching.
Thank you so much for posting the vod! I loved watching through the first 2 and was waiting and hoping to see the rest!
These vods are amazing to sit and watch before bed
I wish we had the camera to see Crow’s face when he read “explode the sun”
PointCrow went from not knowing how to slow down to being the best pilot in town
I finished the first 2 VODs a couple days ago and blew a mild hernia when it seemed like that was it. I can't imagine this is the rest of the playthrough, and if indeed it's not, PLEASE upload the rest at some point! Thank you love you bye.
Thank you for posting this Eric! I really love watching this playthrough and I hope you continue it :D
YESSSS I'M SO HYPE FOR CROW TO CONTINUE THIS GAME ITS SO GOOD
Thank you for posting, so nice to watch as someone who loves the game
im glad u continued!!! i wasnt sure you would but i hope you play it more often !!
I hate that people just think of you as the botw guy and still demand watching the same shit after 6 years like damn. Youre so entertaining and ive loved watching all your content that isnt botw, especially your blind playthroughs and pokemon stuff lol. I hope botw2 doesn't consume you but at the same time, kinda excited for it 😂
DEEP. ITS DEEP. GIANTS *DEEP* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Absolutely loving this playthrough, thanks for uploading the VODs! Can't really do twitch because my schedule is itself a quantum object, but vods let me break up the long videos into manageable chunks.
yesssss you came back to this let's gooooo! 🔥[ grabs popcorn ]
I'm genuinely so happy to see you continuing this!! Your playthrough has been amazing and I'm really looking forward to seeing it all!
Thank you Eric for uploading this!
This was a very fun and chill vod to watch!
I'm so glad you posted this! I caught only the beginning of the alt stream and was so sad to miss it.
oh my god i am so happy you are posting the alt vods. i really wanted to see this playthrough continue, but i'm from germany so i can never catch a stream, and i was so sad when i saw there weren't any vods on twitch
Thank you. Ever since you streamed this on dotbird i was so sad that the vod wasn't saved!
I didn’t know there was an alt, and thanks to you now I do. So Thank you
I'm so happy you uploaded this VOD Point Crow! I love your content so much especially because of you. I love how you react even when you're doing it chill like this one. I really hope you upload more of this game cause I really enjoy how you play it 😁
First lets play I've seen where someone manually lands on the sun station before they figure out how to get there normally. Nice to see someone else share that satisfaction of pulling off the hardest ship maneuver in the game.
Finally I can watch this! Thank you for uploading, and thank you for streaming it (albeit on alt) :) If you didn't post the vod I'd never see it cause I'm asleep usually (and always when you're late :D ) when you stream. Can't wait for more!
i'm really glad he's uploading these VODs here, i'm not able to catch most of his streams and i always love watching new people discover outer wilds :)
thanks for posting the VOD! Outer Wilds deserves all the attention.
I am so glad you went for hotshot! the way you did it is super impressive too, no nav help whatsoever.
Thanks for uploading this. I haven't watched your videos very often, but this side of you is really dope. I'm glad I was able to find this.
I have really been enjoying your playthrough of Outer Wilds. Please keep this going.
Glad you uploaded this to the VOD channel.
Would hate to not see the continuation.
IS THIS FROM THE ALT? IM SO GLAD, I WAS SO SAD THAT I COULDN'T WATCH IT LIVE 😢
yes, he streamed this about a week ago on dotbird, the vod wasn't saved though
@@NinjarioPicmin Out of curiosity, why exactly did he use an alt for this one? Did he ever say (I'm only an hour in atm)?
Thanks for sharing this, hope you'll continue the series soon.
i love watching as he figures out the mysteries of this games universe bit by bit
Thank you for posting this, its genuinely entertaining to watch you learn about this game :D
also, i love how Eric's science brain works all the little details and finds out the plot before its ever told to him, it so cool!
I've been checking for this every day. Hooray!
I just want to say how interesting it is the way different people approach games. As someone who plays mostly sandboxs, metroidvanias, and souls-likes, I tend to view games as a collection of gates and keys, even when that pattern is not being explicitly used. You contextualize most of the things you play in terms of zelda-esque puzzles, which makes sense given your background with Zelda. It's not like a "correct" way exists to play a game, so this discussion is mostly academic, but still fascinating.
Btw, love everything that's going on here. I don't really watch any zelda content, largely because the zelda games are still on my Someday(TM) list, but I found you through Hollow Knight and have watched some of your variety stuff (Portal, Celeste).
I think we may be the same person... any game recommendations
@@tristinbell Hmm, that you don't already know about? Probably not.
Hollow Knight, first and foremost. Then your standard collection of stuff like Celeste, Hades, everything by fromesoftware, factorio, outer wilds (though judging by the video this comment is from I'm sure you know of it). Both of the Ori's are pretty good, though a bit overhyped. Kerbal Space Program is incredibly niche, but I've put 400 hours in it, and it's very fun once you get past the learning curve. Oxygen Not Included may be great, but depends on the person. You've probably played portal, but Portal Stories: Mel and Portal: Reloaded are very good community mods. In the vein of puzzles, everything by Zacktronics is pretty good. On the rpg side of things, I can recommend One Shot and Chrono Trigger. Hacknet doesn't really fit the other categories, but it's a fun way to spend an afternoon and has great music.
Do not watch this video if you HAVE NOT PLAYED OUTER WILDS! This game is a once in a lifetime excperience so dont waste it on a watch, rather you should play the game and then return to this video when you are done with playing it.
found your channel because of this playthrough, I hope you keep uploading the vods. Super impressed about that sun-station landing
practically the whole time when I've been watching these vods I've been shouting at the screen saying "USE YOUR FUCKING SIGNSLSCOPE"
Looking forward to the rest of the playthrough!
So happy you are continuing this game!
Frog w this series is beautiful ❤
I was so worried he wouldn’t continue! Im really loving this let’s play
Yay! More Outer Wilds
Thank you so much for continuing this. It's a shame you can't stream this on your main. This is probably the most enjoyable playthrough of Outer Wilds I've seen so far. You woudln't believe how much joy it is to watch other people play this game!
YAYAYYAYAYAY! Been waiting for this stream to be uploaded. Hope he continues to play 🥳
Wooo! Cool you've continued this! You're about the millionth streamer I've watched for this game!
Love the new content
i cant believe this man tried to land on the sun station for 1 whole hour
*Joseph Anderson flashbacks*
5 more hours and you're still not done 😄I look forward to the next upload
It's been a little while since I've last watched PointCrow, but when I saw that he was playing Outer Wilds? You bet your bottom dollar that I immediately queued up the vods!! I really really hope that Eric continues to play this because it's my favorite game of all time and I love to watch him explore and discover things for the first time and slowly piece together the lore in this gem of a game :D
It really is a pleasure watching you puzzle these out. You catch on quick and it proves the excellence of the game design.
Watched it in full now, thanks for putting it up here! ^^ You are the best pilot in the damn universe :D
gosh this was such a good playthrough i loveee this
Ooh! Heck yeah, glad this got posted!
I loved this episode! I hope you get your flashlight working so you can explore Ember Twin more
It made me a little sad hearing about your experiences with the community, like that TikTok, or not seeing the community as "close-knit" outside of video content. I'm fairly new to your stuff and very rarely get to watch streams (my work schedule is ass), but chat honestly cracks me up! I've never seen a chat where I'd actually be laughing when I read something comedic.
From the many 5 min intros I tune into on livestreams you always seem so genuine and kind and that's what brings me back... Even if I don't see the whole session 😂. You definitely deserve the following you have. Your passion, positivity, humor and kindness are definitely what make you one of my top people to seek out streams for. Keep doing what you're doing man, we love you for you 💕!
First vid of you that i found
So happy
I’m loving this playthrough but him knowing he doesn’t know the rule of entanglement and refusing to go learn about it while also knowing it’s on ember twin is driving me crazy
I was there for the stream but now watching back as I’ve finally watched the first two vods I finally understand the lore he’s uncovering about the ash twin project lol
i can't believe you went to the sun station via ship and without lock on / autopilot!
no wonder you got an achievement!
on another note, about the marshmallows, they are actually healing items.
you can easily repair the ship, you can refill your tanks with just at many places, but you can heal your body only with marshmallows.
Nah you also fully heal when you refuel your tank on the ship
@@Ep8Script hmm... that must have been changed at some point.
i can still remember clearly a different lets play where that was not the case.
@@happyhafer1403 yeah that’s possible, I only played it a few months back
I would love to see this game recreated for VR. I can only imagine how nauseating that might be for some, but I think being fully immersed would be wonderful! Thanks for bringing this back! Can't wait to see more. You impress me every time.
There is a VR mod somebody made
incredible flying. especially considering no lock-on. well done and hope the lock-on and flashlight issue gets figured out for the next part(s)
