Great video but Flight planer is not as easy as you say beacuse it doesnt just load into the aircraft i tried the A320 new 737 nothing loads in it and the makes auto pilot not work ? andy fix to this yet
@@grumpyoldstudiosso if the flight planner doesn’t work that means auto pilot won’t work or ils . What do you do then . R they gonna fix this . Isn’t this kinda of a major part of the game .
It seems simple, but the world map after creating it (as shown in your video & my experience) clearly says VFR. Not IFR. So if you use in game ATC, there are no options to request an IFR clearance, only VFR options are available with ATC. So how do you actually make it an IFR flight plan? Note on the next EFB flight planner tab it has an "IFR/VFR" choice there but is seems to do nothing. Same goes for when I use simbrief (now integrated into the EFB to do a flightplan it also comes in as VFR.
This new system is way more convoluted than the old one, I do not like it, especially the Fuel/Payload page where i cannot even find the MTOW or the useful load of the aircraft.
Some times. Career mode is a bit broken in parts but I have gotten the flight plan from the tablet into the aircraft. But not all aircraft are working with it yet.
Thanks for the video. In 2020 you could select either High or Low flight level after entering the departure and destination points but I don't see that option in 2024. Do you instead just manually enter the altitude you want to fly at in the Cruise Altitude section in the upper right in the EFB?
I've been trying to work it out with the airliners, I guess they're bugged, and it doesn't work. Thanks for at least showing that it works with some planes. Gonna try some myself and see what does and doesn't work.
Yes just start at the gate you want. Load in and bring up the tablet. Load the plan from there make sure it is set for IFR. A note is that it does not work with all avionics yet.
Yes. You can just start in the parking spot that you want to and use the tablet from inside the aircraft. It works exactly the same there as it does in the world menu.
I know but it is an IFR plan. Thing is all buggy but you should get the basic idea. Maybe after a month or 3 I will revisit once they are working better.
You can import Simbrief if you save it as a file using Simbrief downloader then just use the load button at the bottom not the one at top. ruclips.net/video/RiBkwy66gBM/видео.htmlsi=9zCdXDpc3yu0I-gg
Instructions unclear: Xbox had a stroke and the feature just doesn’t work at all lmao At one point I punched in Orlando departure and Sacramento arrival and when I clicked find route it put up a route from Orlando to middle of buttfuck nowhere off the coast of Central Africa then an immediate 179 degree turn back to Sacramento
@ I’ve pretty much accepted that I’m gonna have to buy the storage expansion and reinstall 2020 if I’m gonna play Flight Sim. Most of what I did was racing anyway which they haven’t even added back in 2024 anyway
This is BS. You shouldn't have to fly an entire multi hour flight just to test out or practice features like CAT3 autoland on the aircraft that have it. All of which you could easily do by selecting a standard instrument arrival in FS2020. They've absolutely blown it and despite being a massive MSFS fan since the 90s, I'd get a refund for this trash fire if it was possible. Utter garbage. 3/4 of the sim still doesn't work.
Good point. I have cancelled my Navigraph subscription. I do like using the app outside of the game because sometimes I do 2-3 flight plans for future streams and I dont have to load the whole sim.
thank you. Please keep posting videos and dive deep into ifr planning / vfr :)
Thanks! Disappointed that you weren’t particularly grumpy as promised but the info was excellent.

Is there a way to get it to give you a cruising altitude or is that something you have to figure out on your own?
I have had to put it in myself so far. It is supposed to be adding it but not working yet.

Can you still select which ILS runway you want, and what approach you want? I miss notbhaving that visual info like we had in 2020
Yes there is a tag on the page to do all your approaches/departures ect. Right below the flight plan.
