These videos are awesome. How-to kind of videos could also be fun from such a skilled engraver

Nice work! What kind of wood would you recommend for carving? I just got some tools. Also, how do you keep your work from moving?
    Thanks

Thanks) I use linden, it is soft and perfect for carving. I fasten the product with a clamp

Maybe just a bit too much music. It can be very distracting.

FAKE. The final piece is not the same as the one he was working on. Unless some magic was done to glue wood chips back on.

Thanks for the compliment) no, it's not magic, it's just sanding it after carving

@@WoodCarvingbyValery Where did you learn to carve? I would love to be able to carve like you. Also, who makes your dark handled gouges and V parting tools? Did you make the Handles? I have been trying to figure out who makes them. I have mostly Pfeil and Ashley Isles. Please make some tutorials on how to carve the underside of the acanthus leafs where they curl over like a wave. Thank you for sharing carving skills that go far beyond Santa carvers.

@@Apodictic1 I always dreamed of doing carving. And after retiring I got interested. I got to this point through trial and error. I use Pfeil tools. As for the video, I plan to record something like this.
