Great finds, but I agree, Goodwill is getting expensive with some of their “used” items!

It's because of people making videos about their "finds" and how they're reselling them for profit.
Those DIY vases turned out great. I can't believe you got them for $2.99. Those would be $20 at my Goodwill. Thrift stores here (southern California) have gotten so expensive it takes the fun out of it.

Lots of neat finds Jessica. I love thrifted and styled videos. Goodwill is about the only thrift store local to me (there are 5 in my county). I find their prices kinda high but I shop anyway being there aren’t any other choices.

You get such great finds! I’m not a big fan of thrifting, but my friend always wants to hit the Salvation army, etc. , as she’s great at refinishing furniture! Once in a great while I find something that I can use. Your DIY’s are awesome. Keep these great decorating videos coming. I finally put away all my winter decor over the weekend. Im getting a new roof this week, so Im waiting to decorate for Spring/ Summer till thats finished. I love my winter decor, tho, as I live in Michigan, and we have a few months after Christmas of cold weather. Love your style, and “easy to listen to” voice. Sweet personality.

I think most of the prices are pretty reasonable. The horse is a great find, my motto is, if you like it and it’s “fairly” priced go for it. Chances are you will regret not getting it later. I have been thrifting/antiquing for over 30 years, that is what makes our home’s unique and welcoming❤

Hi Jessica, I love your little brass swans and you may have styled them already. I love to ground small items like that (on a stack of books, a pillar candle holder, small plate, etc), and then cover with a glass cloche. It creates a pretty vignette….

I think the swans would be cute on the tray in the bathroom where you used the H&H canister.

Hi! New to your channel! I love watching thrift and style videos. I'm A thrifter and love to collect really old things. My husband and I actually own a thrift store, and yes i do "shop" at it..i do buy some of the things i get, the more expensive things! The proceeds fund our men's recovery home, so we have to have that income. I guess the best thing is i do get to see things before they hit the floor.. and no i don't keep all the good stuff, just some of it😄 The vases turned out beautiful, the round one actually looks like stone! The horse head was A little pricey for a thrift store, more like an antique store price but typical of Good Will these days🫤 Shouldn't have been over $5.99 in a thrift store. Nice piece though! Were actually changing our name & adding antique to it nectar we get so many antiques donated, people won't pay antique prices in a thrift store. Love old & ornate frames! You have some beautiful ones❤ Beautiful set of corbels, great price! Yes.. give me all the brass😊 Sorry I got a little long winded🫢 I just get excited about all things thrifting! I don’t think $10.00 is too much for the horse. Actually, Im using a black cheap rubber stop for my french door in my living room because the cat thinks it’s fun to play with that door in the middle of the night. Target had that brass one with the leather strap, and I was tempted to buy it, but like you, I was afraid I’d trip over it. I definitely need something more pretty then what Im using now.

The sad thing is the chipped flower planter was probably donated in great shape and damaged in the store. I’ve stopped donating breakables to Goodwill because of how often they break things.
