Good video, yes I have Polo green intense,I like it ,kinda modernized version of the original! No one mentions it at all! I need to revisit the old Polo green sometime,I think it actually will hold up well in winter also,or cooler weather etc.
Solid choices. For me: Creed Silver Mountain Water, Creed Erolfa, Pasha de Cartier Parfum, Acqua di Parma Colonia, Dior Eau de Sauvage edt, Tom Ford Beau de Jour, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Creed Royal Oud, Vetiver de Guerlain, Chanel Egoiste/Platinum Egoiste. There’s ten.
Terre D'Hermes EDT, Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT (the og one with the "wet concrete" accord), and Acqua di Parma Intenso will definitely have you smelling classy.
Same here for RL Polo Green. But my story with it goes back 20+ years. Was never into fragrances. Had the ubiquitous bottle of Shulton classic Old Spice on my counter I never used. But as I was passing through a store with a fragrance counter - like Macy's or whatever - I was teased over by an SA to try whatever they were hawking that day. I must have had some time to kill because I decided to go over and indulge the Sales Associate. I said to her "I don't know anything about this stuff, but it's my perception that all these scents are sweet, whether it be floral, fruity, or whatever. Sweet." So she reached behind her and took a green bottle with gold cap.off the shelf, sprayed it on card and handed it to me. The rest, as they say, is history. I couldn't get that scent out of my head as I went home later. And the rest of the week. I went in the next week to re-smell it. It wasn't sweet. It smelled like gravitas, power, influence, masculinity. American Republicanism in a bottle. Or as the brand describes it: "Its name awakens association with a closed circle of the chosen and this circle has its rules and traditions." Then I bought a bottle, and it was my one and only signature scent for 20 some years. Then I became a FragHead in late 2019.
Oddly enough, Carlos Benaim, the perfumer, was very young when he created it. He's a very humble man and admitted it was a complete fluke. It's still iconic 45 years later. Crazy.
Liam Gray is so expensive smelling ESPECIALLY for the price and the performance is fantastic. Dior Homme 2020 on the other hand, was one that surprised me so much. Although I was initially disappointed about the absence of iris too, but I quickly fell in love with the scent and how awesome it smells.
Polo was my first in 85 and, for me, it (Cosmair versions, mind you) will always be the greatest men's fragrance ever created. A gift from my grandmother at the age when I first was connecting with girls. It was the eighties. The future was bright & full of potential. The world was exciting and fascinating. My tastes change, but Polo has never stopped smelling glorious (even if it is a seasonal frag that can only be pulled off well in specific situations now).
I would love to find an original bottle. I can totally relate to everything you said here. Polo Green was in my top 5 for the first three years and it's still in my top 10 and I have tried 500 Fragrances
10+ for me: Polo Green Floris Elite Floris 1962 TF Oud Wood Tom Ford for Men Extreme Oxford by Roberto Ugolini Guerlain Heritage Escada Pour Homme/Mr. Blass by Bill Blass Creed Royal Oud Creed Bois du Portugal YSL Tuxedo/Rochas Mustache EDP
I am a huge Lover of the Iris note. I own about 5 iris-forward perfumes. I was fascinated by the ambrette note in Dior Homme Parfum. Gives it a nice, distinct touch to the perfume. I intend to look into other fragrances that features ambrette...just to get to know it better.
I had to buy my Dior Parfume in Italy, you just can’t find it in Canada. I know FragranceBuy has it in stock, but it’s definitely hit and miss. Great scent
It was top five on my list of favorite Fragrances for years. Only got pushed off recently because I have so many Fragrances now. It's still in my top 10 desiners
There's a huge battle going on over Ani clones right now because there are two very good ones. I was watching Aromatix. The Ani DNA is super popular right now because it's somewhat Gourmandy. I can't afford Ani either & thus the decant, LOL.
Anytime I smell Polo green, I automatically think that person is rich and pretentious😂. Like I don't have enough money to be in the same zip code as this person.
Thanks for the video. Tuxedo or Moustache always smell rich and classy to me
Moustache is my favorite Fragrance in the $40 range so I agree

You're spot on with Prada L'Homme for sure.
Love your consistency. Value your channel and great work
I try really hard to be consistent so I appreciate that.

Yeah those are some seriously nice Fragrances for sure. Im lucky to have some of them. I need to try erolfa
Ah, Polo. My first fragrance as a boy in the 80s. Still own a bottle to this day.
Terre D'Hermes EDT, Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT (the og one with the "wet concrete" accord), and Acqua di Parma Intenso will definitely have you smelling classy.
The violet leaf really makes that wet concrete Fragrance. I have a decant and I love it. Very classy

For a relatively inexpensive fragrance, I found Moustache EDP has a money vibe. I think it’s the amber and rose combo. Great video Stuart.
100%. Couldn't agree more. Thanks man.

I KNEW someone was going to mention Floris. I KNEW it. Such a classy house. Sadly I dont have any of their Fragrances.

Cool. Yeah, I love that combo.

Prada LHomme or intense which is best 👍👍👍
I'm a L'Homme guy but most people seem to prefer the intense. I find it a little too sweet.
Polo ♥
Polo Green is a masterpiece
Like walking in a pine tree jungle in the middle of night after work.
It was top five on my list of favorite Fragrances for years. Only got pushed off recently because I have so many Fragrances now. It's still in my top 10 desiners
Sadly prada l’homme is discountinued😢
Yes. And even though some bottles are out there, the prices are high now
Is that LIAM GREY?
Yes.
@@ScentsofStyle99 TY. Have you tried Balenciaga Pour Homme?
I have three unopened bottles of DHP. I'm poor AF. That's why I have three bottles of FOMO Gary's Den, also.
You'd be surprised how poor I am. My only extravagance in life is Fragrances but I do without so many things. I can really relate to you on this.
👍👍
Ahhhhhh, those two thumbs always makes me feel better. Thanks man!
I can't afford Nishane Ani. Hence I got Spectre Ghost instead.

Definitely a classic.
I love Polo green!! O.G Fragrance!!
I'm a FragHead with over 300 bottles in my collection. Polo is my #1.
I had a chuckle at this, forgot to reply and now my comment is 3 days old.
