Good point! It does look very similar to that headset actually. Wow, I forgot all about that one, but remember seeing one on clearance in John Lewis a few years ago.
@@ImmersedRobot Yeah, all the early wmr headsets had that flip up motion. Hopefully the hinge doesn't wear out like they did on those, after a while you had to use an elastic band to keep the visor close enough to your eyes.

@@Thats_Cool_Jack Yeah it was a pretty good headset for the price. I just didn't like having to go through the wmr portal and I had to recharge the batteries in the controllers every couple of days. I wouldn't mind something like the big screen headset, almost like a pair of swim goggles, but they are just so expensive. I will just stick with my Q2 for another year or so and then see what's on offer. Do you notice the difference in visual quality when you swap?
Lol the controller batteries drain so fast. It has a smaller fov and resolution than the quest but that makes it great to run on my low end laptop when I'm not around my main PC. People hate on the wmr portal but the oculus software is so demanding in comparison. Can't even launch it on my laptop
Probably a wise choice. I'm looking at Wifi 6e routers myself at the moment to take advantage of the Quest 3 when it arrives. It's a bit of a minefield for budget options though.
@@shinobusensui9395 Hopefully there will be more announcements of Quest games with the pre-order announcement (at least we can hope). Also I believe Quest 3 has been more or less confirmed to have Wifi 6e with improvements to speed and bandwidth over Wifi 6 (which is already present on Quest 2). I highly doubt Quest 3 will have a displayport connection however (hope I'm wrong).

i havent done any research on the PSVR2s compatibility with PC, but if it works on PC, that would be much better than this, considering its the same price
If the official PSVR2 PC compatibility is released in the way we all hope (direct connection, eye tracking with DFR enabled etc), then yes, there is little doubt it will be a much better buy than the DPVR E4.
It’s not WMR. And $550 is only considered ‘budget’ in relative terms. Personally, I’d consider $10 budget… just maybe not for a PC VR headset in the current landscape.

I'm waiting for Valve Deckard
Thanks for the review. It might have sold well if it was released 3 years ago.
Agree.
I got one and took it out of the box and put it back in and returned it. Build quality told me all i needed. 150$ sure, not a penny more
Looks like an updated version of my old 'lenovo explorer'.
