*humiditer We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*
My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. After using it in my room, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj however, I think that's where it is going to stay in the fall and winter season at least. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.
And you need a filter/or thing that turns tab-water lime so that it does not form crystals when water is left on surfaces or when it goes to lungs. Tab water is the worst you want to breath in. Those should have a some kind of sign of that you should use appropriate water with those which is e.g DI or distilled water. You can buy a DI cartridge and put it at the final stage of standard household Reverse osmosis water purification system. I got mine working and I am exited to build ultrasonic water humidifier... Now at south Finland we have had 20RH fort the last 2-3 weeks.
@@moonjunn8567 Ideally at the end of household RO- system, but alone at the end of tap should work too. You will get rid of minerals but other stuff like bacteria goes through. Minerals are worst I think. Bacteria can be stopped with carbon filter(usually a part of RO system). Tap water thrives the water through RO filters and DI filter but If tap has too low pressure RO pump can also be used. Many RO systems come with intrusive connection mechanism that pierces your small copper/metal water pipes and takes tap water that way. So then you will not need plumber-man. I made a portable RO-DI system with pump because I didn't have guts to use that piercing joint valve.
@@surmur I had one and used with tap-water without any problem, left it in another country when i moved... now I order another one and spotted this claim in many comments on amazon, it make sense because pure (distilled) water do not conduct electricity. The water level sensor will have difficulty to sense the water.
what is the voltage from the AC adaptor to the humidifier circuit? how long does this unit produce mist? does it necessarily have to be kept stable or can you move around with it?
question a : 24 volts dc question b : it produces mist using water so it will work forever as long as there is water inside cup question c : u can move around but it should be connected to the current input (the adapter plugged)
the disk or ultrasonic humidifier will vibrate so hard that water splashed into tiny particles those particles are so small that mist is produced, if the water is drained the disk will vibrate but no mist will be generated
Bad Idea, Sir!! It dosen't allow for (Water) height adjustment, as needed, or else when water is emptly, or too high, it will not work. Best would be to put it on a swimmer of types...
matty burrows: That’s The thing about a tutorial: it’s just a guide. You can decide for yourself what size reservoir to use. It doesn’t have to be a small one. The principles will still be the same whether you use the same size or a different size reservoir. This guy made the size That will work for him, and you could choose a different size for yourself when you make your own.
Why do you think this stops running after a few seconds? At the end of the video it stops running. I mean the main ultrasonic humidifier itself. I tried it in different bowl in different water levels but it does the same thing before even starting this project. ruclips.net/user/shortsQTjyeZ2T7wk?si=tniPSMeNrakg9NYh

distilled water doesn't work. the sensor for water level don't trigger on distilled water unfortunately.
