I loved when he sang in Freak Show! That was such an amazing season. I also loved Jessica Lange’s performance of “Gods and Monsters”. Such an amazing moment

the name game actually had a huge impact on the season (asylum) and wasn't just some fun song they wanted to add for no apparent reason. it gave us a fun break from this already dark season and a look into sister jude's mind and her slowly deteriorating and it's sad and heartbreaking how much deeper the meaning of this seemingly light hearted scene was. when we go back to the real world, it's so dark and we understand we can't go back to that moment beforehand. such an effective scene.
while I loved jessicas performances in freak show, they were overused. Here in double feature, Evan and frances do a cute little performance which adds to the tone of the season. the facade that the towns people put on to hide the darkness that lies within it. the lighting in the bar is warm while the outside is cold and cool. (thanks to the new cinematographer) their performance is lighthearted and we see Harry enjoying it. they are trying to make him trust them by showing they are fun and such and it gives us a sense of calmness and that everything is sweet and lighthearted. it makes belle and Austin more approachable once they buy Harry a drink (going into psychology and such but showing confidence such as singing with friends makes you more approachable as people will gravitate to you knowing that you seem safe and nice) after this scene we have an idea of who belle and Austin are until we find out what they are doing in provincetown during the winter. as of now old two episodes have been released but we will see their story unfold into chaos and such and while rewatching / binging this scene will hold a new meaning
@@eugenesmith5173 also sorry for the long rant lmao. I like sometimes analyzing stuff especially my favorite tv show because I notice so many flaws from rewatching or thinking about the show, but I also notice lots of positives and geniusness put into it

Really by far one of the best “seasons” in ahs. Red tides atmosphere was amazing, the town and its mysteries were amazing and I looked forward to every minute on it. I hope there comes a full season of it.
