hands down this is the best soundtrack in the entire game, it really catches my attention the moment me and my brother reach this part, it have that 80's and early 90's action and thriller's movies and TV series feel. you know the good stuff, Airwolf, Knight Rider, the A-Team, The Warriors and the original Robo Cop movie.

I was playing this game yesterday with my brother and a friend, and we had all noted that the music was excellent throughout the game but when we got to this part I was blown away. We struggled a bit during this part, but everything about it was amazing. The music, the elevator setting, the night city background, etc. Just an amazing stage overall
I love this part so much, with the city in the background while you are literally moving up. This song makes me feel Streets of Rage’s will to never give up , to keep going, and to keep rising up.

This track is so good and this part of the song while rising up in the elevator gave me goosebumps it was Perfect. Makes me want to go back and keep playing it and being able to break the glass was a great added touch.

If I ever have a hotel, this will be the elevator music. The elevator will also not reach its destination until you beat the shit out of everyone else in it.
I kind of wish they did a better job with the classic music option though. Too many Gamegear tracks, not enough music transitions, and stage/character themes played for the wrong stage/character throughout.

Yeah, I could go on and on about all the issues. Revenge of Mr. X not being the final boss music, and Big Boss not being the individual twins' fight themes. SoR 2 boss theme being used as stage music instead of the Barbon boss fight... The Bar theme being used in the museum instead of the BAR.
The way in game the music loops - then glides in at key moments is ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!! Makes you want to play again and again and again and never stop playing until SOR5 comes out!!

I mean the this is the best part, but I wouldn't call the rest of it bad. Particularly when the song starts picking up as you get closer to the elevator and ESPECIALLY when the gun guys come out of the elevator.

Wish this version had the sound effect in the video game where the karate guy jumps in the elevator then the main course starts soon after the sound effect. Which is really cool on surround sound. Its like be ready for a tough beating of your life. So cool.
Streets of Rage takes place in a parallel universe where elevator music is awesome.
So awesome in fact, that they need to make elevators insanely large and hire thugs to throw people out, otherwise they'd be constantly overfilled.

Fos Kuvol Golden Axe is the GOAT. Sega didn’t develop this game though, they licensed it to some smaller studios who did an amazing job.
